4 You mustn't be revengeful. You have to be strong to offer good for evil, return right for wrong. We must not hold a grudge and we must learn to endure. This as God is your judge, at least your heart will be pure. Forgiveness is the mightiest sword. Forgiveness of those you hate will be your highest reward. When they bruise you with words, when they make you feel small, when it's hardest to bear, you must do nothing at all. Forgiveness is the simplest vow. Forgiveness of all their crimes is your deliverance now. Bless those souls who would curse your name. When the last bell tolls, you'll be free of blame. You can continue to grieve, but know the Gospel is true. You must forgive those who lie and bless them that curse you. Forgiveness is the mightiest sword. Christ came to bring us life and life more abundant. We were created to live life to the fullest in this life and the next. We were meant to live as those who did not fear death and when faced with our own mortality - to know that at death we go forth to live. Saturday, April 14, is Rebuilding Day in the Akers Park neighborhood in South OKC. Thousands of volunteers will blitz the area with repairs and renovations to make the homes safe, dry, and warm. Everyone can help in some way. Working with Rebuilding Together, St. Luke s is sponsoring a house and we need volunteers to help. You can sign up today in the Gallery. More details and an online sign up are available at stlukesokc.org. Membership Worship Service Have you been thinking about becoming a member of St. Luke s? The Membership Worship Service is a great opportunity to join the St. Luke s family of faith in a small, worshipful setting. The service will have special music, Holy Communion, and a joining moment led by a St. Luke s pastor on Friday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m. in Watchorn Chapel. You can purchase an Easter Lily in honor or memory of a loved one or friend. Your name and the name of your honoree will be printed in the Easter bulletin. Cost for the lily is only $20. The order deadline is March 25. Order forms are available online and at the Welcome Centers. When the Easter service is over, you may take your lily home with you. UMW Bake Sale St. Luke s is going to smell wonderful on Palm Sunday! That s because the United Methodist Women are hosting a Bake Sale from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, in the Gallery. You ll be supporting missions by purchasing some of these delicious treats. Stop by early before they re gone. The Movies Next Sunday, March 25, 6th - 12th grade youth are taking vans to the theater to watch the new faith-based movie, I Can Only Imagine. Many of the scenes were filmed in the OKC area and are based on the true story of the hit song by MercyMe. We will leave the campus at noon and be back by 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided, but bring money for your movie ticket.

Announcements Call (405) for more info or visit stlukesokc.org. Palm Sunday Next Sunday, St. Luke s will be celebrating Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem - Palm Sunday - with a special tradition. On March 25, children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to come early to wave palm branches in the Sanctuary and the CLC at the beginning of each service. Parents may drop off children in Sunday school classes or meet the group near the back doors of the worship areas. Holy Week Prayer Stations St. Luke s Youth have designed interactive Prayer Stations to encourage you to connect with Christ in prayer and help you to focus on God during Holy Week. The Youth Room will also have a walking prayer labyrinth for you to experience. They will be open on Thursday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - and on Friday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Simply show up at your convenience and take your time. Stations of the Cross Prayer Walk at Edmond Campus Remember the last hours of the life of Christ and prepare for Easter with time in prayer and reflection. The 14 stations of the cross mark the events that took place on Jesus journey to Golgotha, where He would be crucified and placed in the tomb. The 14 stations will be marked along the walking trails at the Edmond Campus on Good Friday, March 30. Throughout the day, you can pick up a booklet at the Welcome Center that will guide you as you travel to each station. The walking trail begins near the south entrance of the church. Good Friday Tenebrae Service Good Friday reaffirms our focus on Jesus as Christ through His crucifixion, and prepares us for His resurrection on Easter Sunday morning. You re invited to a powerful and meaningful Good Friday Tenebrae Service - a Worship Service with Meditations on the Stations of the Cross. The service is Friday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. There will be childcare available for infant - 5th grade. Easter Egg Hunt Get your cameras ready for one of the most adorable events of the year! The Children s Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. at the OCU Quad (2501 N. Blackwelder, OKC). Thousands of eggs will be scooped up by children who can also enjoy inflatables and meet the Easter Bunny! All families with children are invited, so bring your family and friends! There s no registration or cost. Easter Worship Celebrate Easter with your family of faith at St. Luke s! Traditional Worship Services are at 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. and LifeLight Contemporary begins at 9:40 a.m. Easter Worship is available at the other St. Luke s Campuses: Asbury - 10:40 a.m. and Edmond - 9:15, and 11 a.m. Edmond is also having two special services with Rev. Throughout Lent, we will highlight four of those ministries to give you an idea of the impact your generosity will have. Donation envelopes are available during worship. 10 TODAY S MISSION HIGHLIGHT REBUILDING TOGETHER OKC Rebuilding lives and neighborhoods making homes safe, warm, and dry. ABOUT THIS MINISTRY Rebuilding Together OKC is a non-profit organization dedicated to rebuilding lives and neighborhoods making homes safe, warm, and dry. They bring volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income, elderly homeowners in the Oklahoma City metro area. SERVING THE COMMUNITY Safe, Warm, and Dry Program This program provides homeowners with critical home repairs and safety modifications such as grab bars, accessibility ramps, handrails, bathroom remodels, roofing, weatherization, some heating and air-conditioning repairs, and more. Safe, Warm, and Dry projects are completed by both skilled volunteers and community contractors. REBUILDING DAY Every spring since 1992, a Rebuilding Day event takes place where volunteer teams complete FREE home repairs to a home they have been assigned to based on skill level. This year Rebuilding Day is April 14 and volunteers will work on the neighborhood of Akers Park, located between S. Eastern Ave. and E Grand Blvd to S.E 8th & S.E 15th. You can help make the homes in this neighborhood safe, warm, and dry! IMPACT Rebuilding Together OKC has repaired over 3,100 homes, 35 non-profit facilities, and 8 public school buildings with the help of 70,000 volunteers since These repairs represent a value to the community of more than $20 million. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE $40 $200 Pays for a 10- gallon bucket of paint that will cover two or three homes. Purchases tools or supplies needed for Rebuilding Day.
