Our Pastor of visitation, Pastor Ron, will be taking a short term appointment at another church. Pastor Ron has been serving as our Pastor of Visitation for over a year. Pastor Ron is a retired Elder in the United Methodist Church. A United Methodist Church in our area will be blessed by Pastor Ron s service from April 1 to June 30. We have a lost and found box in the hallway, as well as several pieces of jewelry in the office (earrings, necklaces, pendants, etc.). We also have forms for Altar Flowers and booklets with information and procedures for Weddings & Funerals. Lenten Service & Luncheon will be at 12pm noon on Wednesday, March 29th. Guest speaker will be Rev. Allen Bingham. Lunch will follow the service in the Assembly Hall. Psalm 34:14b 5K Race For Kids 5K Pre-Registration is available online or forms are in the church office. Registration is also available the day of the race from 8:00-8:45 am. Race begins at 9:00am. Breakfast will be served afterward in the Assembly Hall. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10:00 am following the race on this day. Sunday School Teachers Needed...Our need for Sunday school teachers currently is for a regular teacher for every Sunday and an assistant on the even months for the high school class so two teachers are needed for this class. There is also a need for an assistant in the middle school class every Sunday; again 2 or more could rotate as assistants every other month. Praise the Lord, Swansboro United Methodist Church will soon have a library The corner room of upper level in Building 1 is being transformed into a library. The books will be moved from the shelves in the hallway into their new home as soon as the work is completed. We would like to thank The United Methodist Women who have given $6,400 to purchase the carpet and shelving. An open library is planned when shelving is installed.
