Altar Flowers Today s altar flowers are given to the Glory of God and in memory of Granville and Eloise Work from their loving daughter, Rhonda. Music Appreciation Our appreciation is extended to Joe Kraus, organist for the 8:30 and 11 am services today. Mark Repasky and Viktor Billa are attending the annual Music and Worship Arts workshop at Lake Junaluska, NC. Chancel Choir on Summer Break This is the final Sunday for our Chancel Choir until August 26. They are taking a welldeserved break. Prayer Quilt Today s prayer quilt is for Princess Palmer, a member of Trinity. Princess recently had surgery to remove an intestinal tumor, which proved to be cancerous. Her prognosis is good and she will undergo chemo treatments. Please pray for healing and removal of all cancer; stamina and comfort for Princess as she goes thru chemo, and peace for Princess and her family in knowing God cares for them and is always with them. 5 Upcoming Events Madison Youth Ranch Gifts Thanks to the generosity of so many, Trinity was able to provide passes, gift cards, and funds for many fun and enriching activities for the children at the Madison Youth Ranch to enjoy this summer. They are most grateful for the opportunities we've made possible. Open House: Clothing Closet & Listening Cafe Big Bend Front Porch is a brand new mission ministry of the Northwest District of the United Methodist Church. Dinner and Show Night Out On July 21, the Trinity marriage ministry will be hosting a Dinner and Show night out featuring Barnes and Miner. This comedic couple travels the country talking about the joys of marriage in humorous and lighthearted ways. We will also be hosting a cookout before the event. The cost is only $10 per couple or $5 for individuals. Childcare will be provided as well. All adults and couples are encouraged to attend. A payment link to sign up will be made available soon. Or Pastor Jon at jonbrewster@tumct.org to make your reservations. Fundraiser for Guatemala Mission Team Your Guatemalan mission team will begin selling authentic, Guatemalan coffee on July 1st. We are raising funds to pay for the house we will be building, as well as the medicines for the medical clinics on our fall trip. Help out your global missions team while enjoying the best coffee you ve ever tasted! Find us in the Welcome Center on Sundays, or see one of our team members. The coffee sells for $12 per bag. Enjoy! Mid High Mission Trip! If you re in 7 th -9 th grade and would like to join us this summer for our Mid High Mission Trip, please read the information below and reach out to our Youth Director, Lisa Prasse, with any questions/concerns. Lisa can be reached at lprasse@tumct.org. Our 7 th -9 th grade students will head to Orlando this summer for an awesome fun mission trip! We ll work throughout the week with a team from Led2Serve with different local missions organizations in Orlando and on Thursday, we ll head to Universal Studios! We ll be gone Sunday, July 22- Thursday, July 26 th. Cost of the trip is $350 (some scholarships are available) and if you d like a seat on the bus, you need to contact Lisa Prasse THIS WEEK! 6 Upcoming Events Senior Hunger Outreach Address food insecurity amongst seniors: Florida Impact is launching a program to train faith-based volunteers to reach out to and screen senior citizens who may be at risk for food insecurity and help them enroll in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). Training is scheduled for 5:30 PM 7:00 PM on July 24 th in Moor Hall. If you would like to learn more about this project, please contact Rev. Dr. Bob Gibbs at bobg3849@gmail.com. Financial Report as of 5/31/2018 Income: $757,074 Expenses: $754, ,431 Sunday Study Groups 9:45 a.m. Trinity has a variety of classes which meet at 9:45 a.m. as a part of our Sunday School program. These classes span many ages, needs, and interests. Children: During the summer, we offer two exciting children s Sunday School classes. Children ages 3-Rising K meet in Room 203. They are learning about Jesus teachings, the stories He told, and the people He met through Bible study, games, crafts, video and more. Elementary children (rising 1st-5th grades) meet together in Room 205. They will be participating in two studies focusing on Jonah and Blessings & Birthrights. During these studies, the children will dive deep into the Bible stories of Jonah and Jacob and Esau through games, drama, cooking, art, science, and more! Come joins us for the fun! Youth: Rising 6th graders have Confirmation Class during the school year, at the Sunday School hour in the main room, the 7th and 8th graders will meet in the mid-high room, and 9th 12th graders will meet in the high school room. Agape Class (Rm 305): This class focuses on sharing the concepts of Agape -- selfless, encouraging, and unconditional love. The Agape class includes many parents who are raising children. We actively support one another in sharing God's love through service and fellowship. Class curriculum changes frequently, and newcomers are always welcome. Aldersgate (Rm 302): Aldersgate class has lively discussions on a wide-range of topics. It is definitely not a lecture class. Our new study is : Divinity & Diversity: Creation. Betty Phifer (Rm. 307): The Betty Phifer Advanced Studies Class promotes open discussion that examines contemporary problems and diverse ways to serve God and others. Bible Journeys (Rm 306): The current series is TRACKING THE TIMES - - Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. (Revelation 1:19) Koinonia (Rm 304): This class uses FAITHLINK, a study delivered each week online, which looks at the application of faith and actions to major events in the news. This week: A Better Workplace. Wesley Bible Study Class (Conference Room): This fellowship for persons of all ages currently uses the Adult Bible Studies Series to gain a biblical foundation for their faith.
