1 Fifteenth Sunday After Pentecost August 28, 2016 at Ten Fifty A.M. Mary Poppins We can all get caught up in the busyness of life. It can limit how we see the needs and opportunities in the world around us. In the show, Mary Poppins, a very special nanny comes to help the Banks family open their eyes to the love they have for each other. It s a great lesson for all of us to take the time to make special memories in life with family and friends.

When Stone Age men were chatting, merely grunting would suffice. Now if they heard this word, they might have used it once or twice! There are several celebrations being planned. On October 2, a Consecration Service is being held in the newly completed building - this service will be a time to celebrate all the hard work and dedication needed to open St. Luke s Edmond. On October 9, St. Luke s Edmond will experience two services in the new building. There will be a a LifeLight Service at 9:15 a.m and a Traditional Service at 11 a.m. The Edmond Campus Grand Opening is scheduled for October 16 with the two services and with tours following each service. The new campus is located at 900 N. Sooner Road. Wednesday Night Alive Have you registered for Wednesday Night Alive yet? You can register for your class online at stlukesokc.org. Classes begin on September 7 at 6:30 p.m. and runs through October 26 (Fall festival is Oct. 26). Dinner will be served at 5:15 p.m. ($5 for adults - children 12 and under eat free). Mom s Ministry Service Project - Cookies for Cops Want to show your support for the Edmond Police Department? Join us September 10, as we take cookies and cards to those who serve and protect. It s our way of showing kindness and appreciation for all they do. An offi cer will be there to talk with the kids and give a quick tour of the station. Your kids can make a picture or bring a card expressing kindness. Feel free to bring cookies if you want. We will be picking up several dozen and bringing for the whole group to give. We will meet at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Edmond Police station (100 E 1st St). There is no age limit for the kids and anyone is welcome to come. Youth Choir As a part of Wednesday Night Alive, St. Luke s is starting a Youth Choir! Youth (6th-12th grade) are encouraged to sign up for this new choir at stlukesokc.org.
