I admire the virtues which adorned your soul: love of God and neighbor, humility, obedience, patience, purity and the spirit of sacrifice. Help me to imitate your example in my state of life. Through the goodness and mercy of God, Who has blessed you with so many graces which led you to the true faith and to a high degree of holiness, pray to God for me and help me. Obtain for me a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that I may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as I can. Teach me also to be devoted to my crucified Savior as you were, that I may cheerfully bear my daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of me. Most of all, I beg you to pray for me that I may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save my soul. Amen.

Adopting a family or providing a gift so that someone less fortunate could have an enjoyable Christmas reminds us that it is in giving that we receive! If you or your business are interested in helping to provide help and create hope for a family this year for Christmas, please contact us and we will match you with a family in need. If you prefer to pledge a donation for a family, we will provide the shopping! We are also in need of your gifts of service! Catholic Charities Community Services of Dutchess County is need of volunteers to assist in shopping, organizing and distributing gifts for our Adopt a Family program this holiday season. Volunteer Shoppers - Some donors in the Adopt-A-Family program want to help a family but are unable to do the actual shopping themselves. We will be setting up a shopping day! (One mother said she would like to do this with her daughter as a holiday project!) Organizing and Distribution - On two or three days before Christmas, we ask for volunteers to donate an hour or two of their time to assist in organizing and distributing the gifts donated. If you can help, please give me a call at the office and we will set up time, date, and activities! Thank you!
