Obtain for me a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that I may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as I can. Teach me also to be devoted to my crucified Savior as you were, that I may cheerfully bear my daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of me. Most of all, I beg you to pray for me that I may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save my soul. Amen.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY Next weekend, our parish will celebrate World Mission Sunday. Every day, faithful missionaries offer practical, emotional and spiritual care to communities, children and families in desperate need, bringing the light of Christ to the darkest of circumstances. All Religious Education Classes All classes will meet as usual this week. Please make sure that your child brings his/her Religious Education Book to class. 6 th Grade Classes This week our 6 th year students will be receiving their very own Bibles (Tuesday and Wednesday, 2:30 pm classes, already received their bibles)! The bibles will be blessed and distributed at a special prayer service held in the chapel at the beginning of each class. The students should report to their classrooms, and then they will proceed to the chapel as a class. Parents are welcome; to go directly to the chapel for this ceremony, which will last minutes. 9 th Grade Confirmation Students Confirmation rehearsals are this week and next: 5 6 pm in the Church. Students and their sponsors are required to attend the rehearsal (a parent may fill in for the sponsor, if not available). Thursday, 10/19/17 For those being confirmed on Sunday, 10/22/17 (A J). We will be collecting the above until Wednesday, October 18 th. Please bring gift cards to the Parish Office; all other items can be dropped off in the Narthex of the Church. Interested individuals who would like to help with making sandwiches, food prep and sorting clothes, please come on Friday, October 20 th, 3-8 pm to the. The run leaves St. Kateri at 8 pm. SEPARATED AND DIVORCED SUPPORT GROUP A Separated and Divorced Support Group meets 7-8:30 pm at Mt. Alvernia, 158 Delavergne Ave, Wappingers Falls. Our purpose is to bring hope and healing to those who have gone through divorce years ago, and to those currently going through separation or divorce. While this is a Catholic, Godcentered endeavor, all faiths are welcomed. Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.
