Through the goodness and mercy of God, Who has blessed you with so many graces which led you to the true faith and to a high degree of holiness, pray to God for me and help me. Obtain for me a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that I may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as I can. Teach me also to be devoted to my crucified Savior as you were, that I may cheerfully bear my daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of me. Most of all, I beg you to pray for me that I may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save my soul. Amen.

3 A NOTE FROM THE PASTOR: FORMED I am excited to announce a new opportunity called F ORMED for our parishioners. FORMED is an innovative online platform with free access to a wide range of topquality faith formation resources from Bishop Robert Barron, The Augustine Institute, Father Michael Gaitley, Lighthouse Catholic Media, and youth ministry, marriage ministry and more. A number of Spanish-language resources are also available. Every parishioner will have free access to video programs, movies, audio talks, electronic books, and downloadable workbooks at any time and on any device with an internet connection. Desmond NOTE FROM THE PASTOR ON MIDNIGHT RUN There will be a Midnight Run to NYC, Friday, October 21 st. Individuals are needed to sign up to help out collecting and sorting clothes, buying materials such a toiletries, underwear, socks, preparing sandwiches and food to be distributed, and lastly a maximum of 4 cars, and individuals to go to the City that night. Anyone interested, please sign up on forms in the Narthex. Needed items include: men s jeans, men s boots, sleeping bags, winter jackets, gift cards from major retailers. socks and underwear, brand new only! Fall/ Winter clothes are needed, preferably men clothes, including shoes. 90% of distributed clothes are for men. Collection boxes are in the Narthex. There will be a short planning meeting Monday, October 3 rd, in the. SEPTEMBER HEALING MASS A healing Mass, with a free flow of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, will be held Tuesday, October 4 th at St. Kateri. Guest celebrant will be Fr. Tom Kreiser, formerly of St. Columba and currently at St. Patrick's, Yorktown. Praise and worship begins in the chapel at 7 pm; Mass at 7:30. Individual prayers for healing follow Mass. The event is sponsored by the Spirit Wind Prayer Group of St. Kateri. Spirit Wind meets in the chapel the other Tuesdays for prayer and praise 7-8:30 pm. ALTAR ROSARY SOCIETY Please come join our wonderful group of ladies at the Altar Rosary Society. The ARS is a combination of all 3 parishes. We meet every 2 nd Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. On Monday evening on October 3 rd, we will have a covered dish beginning at 6 pm in St. Columba's school gym. Bring a dish and a friend and come join us for a fun evening. This year's theme is 50's Sock Hop. Bring a pair of socks, too, for the needy. We are getting ready for our Annual Holiday Craft Fair set for Saturday, November 5 th, 9 am-3 pm. THE SILVER LININGS LEISURE CLUB To celebrate the coming together of our three parishes to form a single "seniors" group (Yippee!), let's celebrate by going on a Hudson River cruise together! On Tuesday, October 18 th, we'll carpool to Kingston and meet at noon for a sumptuous lunch at Mariner's Harbor restaurant before boarding the Rip Van Winkle for a 2:30-4:30pm fall foliage cruise. Before the campaign, we will prepare the ground surrounding the vigil site by being obedient to the instructions the Lord gave to Joshua. As he was instructed to march around Jericho seven times to see the walls come crumbling down, we will march around the block seven times praying that the walls of the abortion industry will come crumbling down.
