3 This Week s Pulpit Announcements Sunday: RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY 2-3PM Life Chain & Holy Hour 3:30PM RCIA In Spanish Monday 7PM RCIA Classes In English Friday 12PM Women s Guild Lunch & Mee ng Life Chain Event THIS Sunday Please join us for our annual Life Chain event this Sunday, October 7th from 2:00pm- 3:00pm. All are invited to stand in silent prayer and witness to the sanc ty of human life for one hour. Holy Hour will be offered in the Sanctuary during the Life Chain event. Please meet in the parish hall at 1:45pm to pick up signs. The Life Chain will take place on Highway 280 across from Walmart/Lowes. Please contact Diane Kersey at for more informa on. Rite of Chris an Ini a on (RCIA) RCIA classes in English are being held on Mondays at 7:00pm. RICA Classes in Spanish are held on Sundays at 3:30pm in the Educa on Building. Please consider a ending classes or invi ng a friend or family member to a end. Par cipants will learn more about what Catholics believe and deepen their personal faith. Call the Parish Office to register for classes. Virtus Training A VIRTUS Training will be held at Sacred Heart on Thursday, October 18 from 6-9pm in the Educa on Building. VIRTUS training is required for all adults who work with minors (those under age 17) regardless of the ministry. This training is required for choir directors, ushers, youth ministers, CCD teachers and classroom volunteers. Please contact Corina Florez to register for the training at or corinaflorez3@gmail.com. Bap sm for Older Children A group Bap sm will be celebrated for children 2 years old and older on Saturday, October 20th at 10:00am. If you are planning on having your child bap zed on October 20th, please contact Star Cruz at the parish office to register by Thursday, October 4th. The next Bap sm Class in Spanish will be held on Sunday, October 14th at 2:00pm. Parents and Godparents are required to a end Bap sm Classes. Godparents must be prac cing Catholics and pre-approved based on the Diocesan requirements. Training for New Altar Servers An altar server training for all new or poten al altar servers will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 10am-12pm in the Sanctuary. Altar Servers must have received their First Holy Communion. All eligible parishioners are welcome and encouraged to serve. Parents, please encourage your children to become a part of this special ministry.

We are in need of help during weekend masses and on Monday mornings. We re looking for parishioners to help serve as altar servers, ushers, lectors, Eucharis c ministers, and offertory counters. Liturgical ministers serve during 1 weekend mass/month (the mass of your choice). Offertory counters meet on Monday mornings (or Tuesday if a holiday falls on Monday) to count the weekend offertory. Counters usually count one Monday each month from about 9:00am-10:30am. Please contact Deirdre at the Parish Office to sign up to serve. Thank you! Knights Of Columbus In Ac on Our local chapter of the Knights of Columbus has been busy over the past few months. Earlier this year, the council sold raffle ckets for the State Charity Drive. Our council received a por on of the proceeds and generously donated the money to our parish. In June, the Knights helped prepare breakfast for the Youth Diocesan Voca ons camp in Collins, GA. At the September 24th mee ng, the council conducted a 1st Degree ceremony welcoming new members; Sun Lee, Oscar Cruz, and Tresor Bananit. Fecha de Boda Especial: 23 de Febrero 2019 El Sábado 23 de Febrero de 2019 se llevará a cabo una boda especial para las parejas que no se hayan casado anteriormente en la Iglesia. Las parejas están invitadas a prepararse para recibir el San simo Sacramento del Matrimonio. Muchas parejas han vivido juntas durante años sin casarse o se han casado por un juez o funcionario civil. Recibir el Sacramento del Matrimonio lleva a las parejas a la plena comunión con La Iglesia. Las parejas enen la oportunidad de fortalecer sus matrimonios y familias al recibir las gracias que se derraman durante el Sacramento del Matrimonio. Las parejas deben ponerse en contacto con Star Cruz en la Oficina Parroquial para registrarse para la boda y comenzar a completar la documentación necesaria. Las parejas par ciparán en un taller de Preparación Matrimonial y se reunirán con el Padre Ben antes de la boda.
