3 Religious Educa on/youth Ministry CCD NEWS It s that me again! Our start date for CCD is Sunday, September 11th from 9:30am-11am. Please register your Preschool (3 &4 years old) to 8th grade children. Special Early Registra on Rates are $65/Family or $45/Single Child. A er September 1st, the cost will be $75/Family & $55/ Single Child. Registra on will be held a er the Sunday es on August 21st & 28th. Registra on forms are also available in the ves bule and may be turned into the parish office. CCD TEACHER TRAINING: A training will be held for all CCD Teachers on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6:30pm. New Altar Server Training We will have New Altar Server Training for all youth who have received their First Holy Communion on Saturday, August 27th beginning at 9:00am. Any current Altar Server who missed the training on June 11th MUST ATTEND, or they will be removed from the Altar Server schedule. Please contact the parish office if you have any ques ons. Cub Scout Troop Cub Scout Pack 173 will be mee ng every Thursday at 6:30pm beginning Thursday, August 11th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 1st through 5th grade boys. There will be a quick opening prayer and then the youth will break up into their respec ve grade levels for group fun and learning. Don t miss this opportunity to have your child learn more about their duty to God, independence, respect, and life skills. 4 Parish Happenings Hospitality Commi ee The Sacred Heart Hospitality Commi ee is in need of volunteers to help plan, coordinate and serve meals during our monthly Hospitality Sunday gatherings. Hospitality Sunday recep ons are held a er masses on the second Sunday of the month from September through May. This is a me for parishioners new and old to mingle and enjoy a meal together. Lord Teach Me To Pray Prayer Series Begins All women of the parish are invited to par cipate in a 12 week prayer series en tled, Lord Teach Me To Pray: Praying the Chris an Virtues. The group will meet for the first me this Tuesday, August 23rd from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Parish Hall. Each week, par cipants will be introduced to Igna an prayer, based on the wri ngs of St. Igna us of Loyola, and the Chris an virtue of the week. The 12 Chris an virtues studied over the course of the 12 weeks are; faith, hope, love, humility, poverty, chas ty, obedience, pa ence, courage, perseverance, wisdom, and friendship. Rachel s House/First Choice Georgia Pregnancy Clinic Dear Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Your support in our Bo les for Life campaign has been amazing and the results were incredible. Thank you so much for partnering with us in this unique way. The number of lives that will be saved and changed through these funds is yet to be seen, but the impact will be real.
