To read the diocesan policy on sexual abuse of minors, go to on. St. Rita of Cascia Saint Rita lived a very difficult life on earth, but she never let it destroy her faith. Although she had a deep wish to enter religious life, her parents arranged her marriage to a cruel and unfaithful man. Because of Rita s prayers, he finally experienced a conversion a er almost 20 years of unhappy marriage, only to be murdered by an enemy soon a er his conversion. Her two sons became ill and died following their father s death, leaving Rita without family. She then became a nun. Although she went on to suffer illnesses and other crosses, she gave it allto the Lord peacefully, and kept her faith in Him. 4 EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION AND ADORATION Con nuing this Monday at we will have Exposi on and Adora on of the Blessed Sacrament each day, Monday through Thursday, before daily begins at 12noon. Come and join us in spending an hour in prayer before Jesus. Bishop s Annual Appeal Special thanks to the 29 families who have donated to the Bishop s Annual Appeal this year. To date our parish has contributed $13,438 toward our goal of $20,755. We are s ll $7,317 short of mee ng our goal. Please prayerfully consider contribu ng this year. Envelopes are available in the narthex. Special Thanks Thank you all so much for your generosity and time during Vacation Bible School. We had a great turn out and the kids had a fabulous time. A special thank you to the adult volunteers who taught the Bible lessons, Arts & Crafts, Music, and Games. Also, a huge shout out to the members of the Youth Group who helped direct the children from session to session, play games with them, help them with their food and drinks, and much, much more. You guys are the future leaders of our Church, and you re off to such a great start! Thank you to each of the parishioners who donated water, popsicles, money, and drinks. Your donations help to make VBS flow very smoothly. Finally, a huge thank you to the parents who brought their children and entrusted them with us. Your participation in VBS is what keeps it going year after year.
