Contact Hilda at for more informa on Bishop s Annual Appeal Wednesday, We are collec ng toiletries for inmates at the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville, GA. Father Ben and Deacon Joe visit the prisoners on a weekly basis and will deliver the toiletries. Please place items in the basket in the narthex beginning February 1st or bring your dona ons to the potluck suppers on Sunday, February 10th. Items needed are: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, 4-8oz bo les of shampoo, body wash & lo on. Thank you for your generosity! Please prayerfully consider your gi to the 2019 Bishop s Annual Appeal. The funds raised by the Bishop s Appeal will provide campus ministers at 11 colleges in our Diocese and furnish food and clothing through 13 Catholic Chari es outreach centers in our seven Deaneries. The Diocese will use fund to educate our seminarians and permanent deacons who serve our parish throughout the Diocese. Dozens of ministries and programs including Family Life, Evangeliza on, Black Ministry, Hispanic Ministry and Youth & Young Adult Ministry are funded through the Appeal, as well as the Southern Cross newspaper and our Child and Youth Protec on program. Envelopes are in the narthex and can be returned in the Sunday Collec on or mailed to the address on the envelope. Offertory Counters and Liturgical Ministers Needed As the new year begins, please consider how you can best use your me and talents to help our growing parish. We are so grateful to all of our dedicated offertory counters and liturgical ministers. We are once again in need of addi onal offertory counters and liturgical ministers (Ministers of Holy Communion, Ushers, Lectors and Altar Servers). Your kindness and generosity blessed the young men at the Blount Youth Home, residents of Oxley Park & Meadows Park Heath and Rehabilita on Centers and pre-school students at the Toombs County Head Start Program. Over 140 Christmas gi s were delivered. Thank you for bring joy to our community! Human Trafficking: Awareness & Empowerment Program The Diocese of Savannah Office of Family Life and the Council of Catholic Women are hos ng a program to raise awareness of and ac on against Human Trafficking. Speaker, Chris ne Watson, is a local advocate who has dedicated her life to figh ng trafficking. She is the Board Chair for the Middle Georgia Alliance to End Regional Trafficking. The program will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 6:30pm in the Lecture Hall of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1003 E. Victory Drive, Savannah. First Sunday Building Fund Collec on We will begin having special collec ons for our building fund on the first weekend of each month. Please bring your monthly pledges for the Building the Body of Christ Building Fund to masses on the first weekend of each month. Please use the building fund envelopes you received in the mail or label your contribu on so your dona on can be credited to your Capital Campaign total.
