Candy Cane The shepherd s crook, representing the nativity s first witnesses and Christ the Good Shepherd, inspired the candy cane. Its alternating white and red stripes represent the Lord s purity and sacrifice, even as the same colors do liturgically. Its lively peppermint flavor stands for the royal gift of spice. Finally, like the Body of Christ itself, the candy cane is given to be broken and shared. Carnation The carnation is known as a flower of rejoicing because of the legend that it first appeared at the birth of Christ. 2 Upcoming Events: Christmas Masses -Christmas Eve Mass will be December 24 th at 10 pm. -Christmas Day Mass will be December 25 th at 9:30 a.m. (Eng/Korean) and 11 a.m. (Spanish) Advent 2018 Donations of Poinsettias plants are needed to decorate our church this Christmas season. Please bring your donations to the Church or the office. Thank you for donating poinsettias to make your Church more festive this Christmas season. Homeless Feeding San Clemente Mission would like to invite you to join us in feeding the homeless this 22 nd of December from 7:00am-12:00pm at St. Vincent de Paul located at 300 Book your Wedding & XV Fr. Joachim invites all unmarried couples to receive the sacrament of marriage. You may also book a date for Quinceañeras. For more information, you may call the office We will begin our this 13 th of December, 2018 until the 21 st of December, 2018 after 6:00pm mass.
