Ben is out of town Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 7-9pm VIRTUS Training, Luminaries to Remember our Deceased Loved Ones The Sacred Heart Youth Group will be se ng up a luminary walkway to remember our deceased loved ones on Wednesday, November 1, Mass will be celebrated at 7:00pm on November 1st in honor of All Saints Day. Your loved one s name will be printed on the luminary along with a prayer of pe on or thanksgiving to the saint of your choice. Please see a member of the youth group or contact the parish office to purchase a luminary. The cost is $5 each. Thanksgiving Baskets & Jesse Tree Applica ons We have begun collec ng dona ons for Thanksgiving food baskets to benefit families in need. Each basket costs around $30 to put together. Please place your dona on in an envelope located in the pews and place in the collec on basket. We hope to supply 50 baskets to the community this year. If you know of a family who could benefit from a food basket, please send them to the parish office to complete an applica on. Volunteers are needed to help distribute baskets at the church on Wednesday, November 15 and Thursday, November 16 from 9am-1pm. Please call the parish office if you can help. Applica ons are also available for our Jesse Tree Christmas gi ministry. Families in need can come by the parish office and complete an applica on for their children. Parish Fall Fes val It s that me again! Our parish Fall Fes val is set for Saturday, November 11th at 6:00pm. We are looking forward to a fun-filled evening of fellowship, great food, games, entertainment, and more. It will take our parish working together to make the fes val a success. VIRTUS Training An important VIRTUS Training will be held on Thursday, October 26th from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the parish hall. All NEW and FUTURE volunteers 18 and older who will serve in any parish ministry are required to a end the VIRTUS training. This includes Ushers, CCD Teachers and Subs tutes, Eucharis c Ministers, Lectors, Youth Ministers, Offertory Counters, and Choir Members. Trail Life will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the parish hall. Seasons of Saints and Sinners Retreat Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama is offering a weekend retreat en tled, Season of Saints and Sinners on November 305, How well do you know any saints? We will spend the weekend with some friends of God who were sinners converted to saints, others holy from their early lives or somewhere in between. Come join the school of saints and grow in holiness as God s beloved children. The retreat begins with registra on at 7:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 and concludes with dinner at noon on Sunday.
