We will open January 6, HAPPY NEW YEAR! JPII CATHOLIC SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST John Paul II Catholic High School will have its Placement Test on Saturday, January 29 at 9 AM. Students in the 8th grade who would like to attend John Paul II are asked to register at the school by downloading the form from our website: (click on forms) and sending in the form and $25 prior to January 29. If you are interested in shadowing for the day, please contact the school at and an appointment will be made for you. You may shadow after January 29 as well. EPIPHANY DANCE "All ages are invited to our annual Epiphany Dance at St. Louis Catholic Church Hall, January 8, from 7:30pm-10:30pm. Dress is semi-formal. Instruction for group dances will be given. Please bring a snack to share during the dance, we will provide utensils and drinks. Suggested donation of $5. All proceeds will go to the St. Vincent DePaul organization, for those in need during this winter season." COLD NIGHTS SHELTER SEEKING HELP A temporary shelter, providing accommodation for those in need who cannot be housed at the main Shelter on Tennessee Street is coordinated by the Big Bend Homeless Coalition with help from the local faith-based community. Each church group provides volunteers one night per week. The shelter is open only when the feels like temperature drops below 35 degrees for longer than 3 hours.
