Your dona ons will help provide food baskets to families in our community. Families in need of a basket can stop by Southeast Georgia Communi es Project (SEGCP) at 300 State Street in Lyons, GA to complete an applica on. Training For New Altar Servers A training will be held for all new altar servers on Saturday, November 3rd from 10am-12pm in the Sanctuary. Altar Servers must have received their First Holy Communion. All eligible parishioners are welcome and encouraged to a end the training. Parents, please encourage your children to become a part of this important ministry. Pizza will be served a er the training. All Saints Day Luminary Walkway and Campaign Celebra on The Youth Group will be se ng up a Luminary Walkway to remember our deceased loved ones on Thursday, November 1st in honor of All Saints Day. Mass will be celebrated at 6:00pm. Your loved one s name will be printed on the luminary along with the name of the saint of your choosing. Please stop by and see the youth group a er masses this month to complete an order form. You can also place your order and payment in the collec on basket or bring it by the Parish Office. The cost if $5.00/luminary. Orders are due by Sunday, October 28th. We will have a parish-wide celebra on following the 6:00pm mass on November 1st to celebrate the success of our Capital Campaign. Please join us in the Parish Hall for refreshments.

4 Women s Guild & Knights of Columbus Fall Get-Together The Women s Guild and the Knights of Columbus are hos ng a Low Country Boil on Saturday, November 10th at 6:30pm. It will be held at the home of Andy & Roxanne Kimbell. All men and women of the parish and their spouses are invited to a end. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish. Please RSVP to Marlene Wonn at or Debbie Betsill at This event will take the place of the Guild & Knights annual Christmas party. HAPPY FALL Y ALL! The Guild would like to send another big THANK YOU to the parish for your support of their annual Rummage Sale. They brought in over $4,100 in profits! Women s Guild & Knights of Columbus Mee ng Dates The Knights of Columbus will meet on Monday, October 29th at 7:00PM in the Parish Hall. All men of the parish are invited. The Women s Guild will not meet in November. The Guild will meet again on Friday, December 14th at 12:00pm in the Parish Hall for a lunch mee ng and Christmas gi exchange. Special Wedding Date: February 2019 A special, group wedding will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 for couples who have not previously been married in the Church. Couples are invited to prepare for and receive the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony. Many couples have lived together for years without marrying or have been married by a judge or civil official. Receiving the Sacrament of Matrimony brings couples into full communion with the church. Couples have the opportunity to strengthen their marriages and families by receiving the graces that are poured out during the Sacrament of Marriage. Couples need to contact Star Cruz at the Parish Office to register for the wedding and begin comple ng the necessary paperwork. Couples will par cipate in a Marriage Prepara on workshop and meet with Father Ben prior to the wedding.
