Come and shop on Saturday, October 7th from 8am-1pm! Bap sm for Older Children A group Bap sm will be celebrated for children 2 years old and older on Saturday, October 20th at 10:00am. If you are planning on having your child bap zed on October 20th, please contact Star Cruz at the parish office to register by Thursday, October 4th. Parents and Godparents are required to a end Bap sm Classes. Godparents must be prac cing Catholics and preapproved based on the Diocesan requirements. Rite of Chris an Ini a on (RCIA) Begins in October RCIA classes in English will be held on Mondays at 7:00pm beginning this Monday, October 1st. RICA Classes in Spanish will be held on Sundays at 3:30pm beginning Sunday, October 7th. Please consider a ending classes or invi ng a friend or family member to a end. Par cipants will learn more about what Catholics believe and deepen their rela onship with God. Call the Parish Office to register for classes. Respect Life Sunday Please join us for our annual Life Chain event held on Respect Life Sunday. All are invited to stand in silent prayer and witness to the sanc ty of human life for one hour on Sunday, October 7th from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Please meet in the parish hall at 1:45pm to pick up signs. Virtus Training: Thursday, October 18, 6-9pm A VIRTUS Training will be held at Sacred Heart on Thursday, October 18 from 6-9pm in the Educa on Building. VIRTUS training is required for all adults who work with minors (those under age 17) regardless of the ministry. This training is required for choir directors, ushers, youth ministers, CCD teachers and classroom volunteers. 4 Training for New Altar Servers: Sat. November 3rd An altar server training for all new or poten al altar servers will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 10am-12pm in the Sanctuary. Altar Servers must have received their First Holy Communion. All eligible parishioners are welcome and encouraged to serve. Parents, please encourage your children to become a part of this special ministry. Sacred Heart Intercessory Prayer Ministry You re invited to join our parish Intercessory Prayer Ministry. The Prayer Ministry commits to praying for those on our prayers lists and for our Parish. Please call or the parish office with your contact informa on to be added to the prayer ministry list. Parish Religious Educa on Program CCD classes are back in session. Classes are held on Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. All students enrolled in Kindergarten through 8th Grade are welcome. Please pick up a registra on form from the narthex and return it to the parish office as soon as possible. Children need to picked up at 11:00am from the playground. We Need YOU! We are in need of help during weekend masses and on Monday mornings. We re looking for parishioners to help serve as altar servers, ushers, lectors, and Eucharis c ministers. Liturgical ministers usually serve during 1 weekend mass/month (the mass of your choice). We are also in need of offertory counters. Counters meet on Monday mornings (or Tuesday if a holiday falls on Monday) to count the weekend offertory. Counters usually count one Monday each month from about 9:00am-10:30am. Please contact Deirdre at the Parish Office to sign up to serve.
