El profeta proclama la paz mesiánica como una paz en donde animales voraces como el lobo, el leopardo, el león y la osa habitarán tranquilamente con animales mansos como el cordero, el cabrito, el ternero y la vaca y un niño pequeño los conducirá. Esta es una paz donde la justicia rectifica las desigualdades y pone fin a la violencia. En esta profecía el Cristo es un niño que pastorea el mundo con una eficacia sorprendente. Él hace lo que los gobernantes del mundo pretenden hacer pero nunca logran, pone fin a la guerra, la pobreza y el hambre. Por esta razón hay muchas imágenes del Niño Jesús como el Santo Niño de Atocha, el Niño Jesús de Praga, el Divino Niño de Bogotá y el Niño Jesús en manos de san Antonio, entre otros. Éstas captan el deseo cristiano de que el niño venga a conducirnos hacia la paz mesiánica y a la vez, nos recuerda que hay que ser como niños para entrar en el reino de Dios. Masses are usually scheduled weeks in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the request well ahead of time. The suggested stipend for each Mass is $5.00.

If you have items to donated, contact Noelle Brodeur at JOURNEY OF HOPE PROGRAM for Divorced/Separated Catholics Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary 601 Hill N Dale Road, Lexington August 9, 7:00-9:00 PM Journey of Hope is a unique divorce recovery ministry program which addresses the concerns of divorced or separated Catholics. It offers support on important issues that result from divorce. The emphasis on prayer, scripture, and the teachings of the Catholic Church lead to healing and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The next 15-week session begins Wednesday, August 9, and ends November 15, 2017 with a closing Mass. Cost: $50.00 (includes materials, text and workbook) Scholarships are available. Mass will be at the usual time. HOST FAMILY NEEDED The EF High School Exchange Year is looking for a host family for a special 15 year old girl from Germany, Annie. She is Catholic and attends Mass weekly. Due to an allergy to pets, she will need to stay with a family who do not keep pets in the house. She will arrive in early August before school starts and will stay for the school year. If you are willing to host her, please contact April Demaree Duff at CONGRATULATIONS to Brian and Kendra Rowland on the birth of their twin daughters, Ryan Leigh (6 lbs., 10 oz.) and Riley Jo (6 lbs., 12 oz.), on July 3 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY.
