3 3 EVANGELIZATION COMMITTEE We Are Called Pete Chiericozzi, Chair That All May Know Christ (John 17:3) Planning has been completed, invitations extended and Saint Andrew Parish is all prepared to carry out our important role of SHARING CHRIST. The first session is today, the 24 th of September. Thanks to all who acknowledge our need to incent folks to have a personal encounter with Jesus and to be his advocate in our homes, in our workplace, in our community. It is an awesome role, exciting but at the same time a little daunting. What do I say, when do I speak up, how do I get the inspiration to be a spokesperson for my Faith? Not easy questions to answer. Yet the SHARING CHRIST does provide those answers, all is needed is for you to attend the sessions. If you missed today s session at 9:30 AM, come to next Sunday s session, at the same time and learn the following: Befriending Others Sharing Your Story The Power to Share Christ Presenting the Good News Inviting Others to Meet Jesus Put Out into the Deep for a Catch One of the learnings we have as adults is that we can never stop learning, whether it is in our professional life, our family life or our Faith life. ALL SOULS DAY MEMORIAL CANDLES It is that time again to order Candles to remember our beloved dead. The cost is $10 per globe with insert. The DEADLINE for ordering is October 15. Sign ups are in the Foyer. Please indicate your name and the In Memory Of name. Last year s globes may be reused. Inserts for those will be made available in October at a cost of $3.00 each. Masses are usually scheduled weeks in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the request well ahead of time. The suggested stipend for each Mass is $5.00.

5 5 DIOCESAN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION For all couples celebrating their 10 th, 25 th, 40 th, 50 th or 50 th plus wedding anniversary in 2017, the diocese will rejoice with you at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, Oct. 7. The celebration begins with Mass at 5:00 PM with Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv. presiding, followed by a reception in Hehman Hall. We are also looking for couples newly married in 2017 to be hospitality ministers. If you or someone you know is celebrating one of these jubilee anniversaries in 2017 or if you are newly married and would like to serve as hospitality ministers, please contact Claudia Green at the Catholic Center at (859) , ext. 228 to make reservations by September 21.
