WEEKEND MASSES Sunday Mass - see bulletin, until Pastor arrives back from sabbatical HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION Mass of the Day - 5:00 PM SACRAMENTS Baptism Baptism is celebrated after consultation with the parish staff as to date. Registered membership in the parish and attendance at a Baptism Class are required for all parents prior to their first child s Baptism. Holy Communion A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the first grade. It culminates in the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade. Confirmation A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the seventh grade. It culminates in the celebration of Confirmation. Matrimony A six-month required sacramental preparation process begins when the engaged couple meets with the priest or deacon and culminates in the couple s exchange of consent on their wedding day. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) A one-year process for preparation and study is required for all those interested in becoming Catholic. 2 CHRISTMAS BAZAAR November 16 & 17 Fellow Parishioners, The 2018 St. Andrew Church Christmas Bazaar is on the horizon. I am chairing this year s SI- LENT AUCTION and need your HELP! Last year we had around 36 Silent Auction items for bidding. This year so far I have approximately 1/2 that total. I am asking for you to consider donating an item / items that we could put in the silent auction. These items would be bid on during the two day auction. Last year we had items such as UK basketball tickets, a set of Christmas china, handmade items, vacation cottage, new items purchased for the auction, autographed sports items, triple crown winner bridle, lamps, and much much more. Please give this some thought and donate items and suggestions to this year s auction. Call me at or at w.d.huston@gmail.com, for questions or to discuss. HOW TO REQUEST A MASS INTENTION Those wishing to honor a loved one during the celebration of Mass for the living or the deceased, or for prayerful remembrance of anniversaries, birthdays, and other special intentions may call or visit the office. Masses are usually scheduled months in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the request well ahead of time. The suggested stipend for each Mass is $5.00. For questions or if you don t have Facebook and want to sign up, contact Mary Kay Wedding Anniversary Mass The Cathedral of Christ the King October 6, 2018 at 5:00 PM Bishop s Annual Wedding Anniversary Celebration, for all couples having their 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th or 50th plus wedding anniversary in 2018, the Bishop will celebrate with you at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, October 6th. The event begins with Mass at 5:00 PM with Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv. presiding, followed by a catered reception in Hehman Hall. We are also looking for couples newly married in 2018 to be hospitality ministers. Thanks in advance for your generosity!! Clare Francis Fraternity is having a celebration of the Transitus of St. Francis of Assisi on Wednesday, October 3rd, at 7:30 pm. The Transitus is a celebration of the death of St. Francis of Assisi. We would like to invite all Franciscans and people who love St. Francis.
