3 T S O T O 28, Disasters Emergency Relief Collection An emergency collection will be taken up the weekend of Nov. 10/11 for humanitarian aid & the needs of Churches devastated by the storms in the South & Southeast regions of the U.S. in September & October. The emergency collection is intended to cover needs created by future domestic storms & calamities. To donate, make your check payable to the parish & in the memo line write: 2018 Disasters Emergency Collection. Our 25th Bake Sale will be on Sat./Sun., Nov. 3/4, after all the masses at St. Mary s School. Baked items are greatly needed: cakes, brownies, candy, pies, cupcakes, breads, your favorite pastries! Thank you Memorial Mass: The Funeral Ministry/ Bereavement Support Team will be honoring all who have died this year at a Memorial Mass on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary s Church in Galway followed by a reception in the social hall. Kindergarten News It has been a great start to the school year in Kindergarten! Many new friendships have been formed and new routines have been established. Please be as generous as you always have been in the past. Parish News Many projects are managed by the Operational Board of St. Mary s Church and completed behind the scenes. Parishioners may not be aware of the Board s concern for maintaining our Church and the safety of Parishioners. After the Church was painted, the Board realized that the front steps needed to be replaced. On October 6 th Board members, with the help of Parishioners, removed the entire front steps of the Church and replaced all of the stringers and supports. There was wood rot and before someone was injured the steps were rebuilt.from the outside, there is no visible change in the front steps. However, you can be assured that the steps are safer now than they ever were. This major project was accomplished in one day. Another project that needs to be addressed is a complete renovation of the front gardens. Anyone interested in assisting with this project is urged to give your name to any Board member and a meeting will be arranged to discuss the project and plan the execution and completion of this project. We thank you for your sacrificial offering of $1,033 for Sunday, Oct. 14. To cover our weekly expenses, we need $1,000.
