Please remember your Parish in your Will or Estate Plan. MESSAGEE FROM CARDINAL COLLINS October, 2016 'Love one another as I have loved you. (John 15:12) Dear Father:
8 As we conclude the celebration of the Year of Mercy, we are reminded of the importance of supporting our brother and sisters in Christ in their time of need. One of the core directions of our Pastoral Plan is Catholic Outreach in Justice and Love; we help to fulfill this direction through our generosity toward the agencies that are supported through Catholic Charities and ShareLife. I extend my gratitude to our Pastors, parishioners and school communities for their support of the 2016 ShareLife parish campaign. By raising over $12 million for our agencies, we have demonstrated our continued commitment to serving the needs of our greater community. When we hear of the many stories of those being helped, we know that we are indeed working wonders through our 42 agencies.whether it's a young mom and her baby receiving support through the Rose of Sharon, or someone being visited by a volunteer with seniors at the Society of Sharing, know that our generosity has made a difference.a family receiving counseling in the Greater Toronto area or the refugee family being welcomed by a parish community has the opportunity to improve their life through involvement with our agency. Whether it is by helping people with special needs, or providing for the education of our priests and deacons, ShareLife supporters are making a difference now and for years to come. Please extend my appreciation to your parish community for their commitment to the work of ShareLife supported agencies. My prayer is that we will continue to work together as a faith community to show mercy to in the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
9 May the Lord bless you always. Sincerely Thomas Cardinal Colllins Archbishop of Toronto
