6 What are we giving up for Lent? We don t have the best spiritual reason for giving up doughnuts during Lent, but we think it is an appropriate me to let you know that this service is becoming more and more difficult to maintain. Volunteer power is weakening and so we decided to give up doughnuts during Lent and propose that, to con nue with doughnuts, we need a new ministry team to bring some new energy and commitment to the service. A er Lent, one thought is to serve doughnuts only once a month while coffee is served every week-end. Please help the Pastoral Council deliberate the future of doughnuts by sending us your ideas, along with the commitment behind your ideas, for a solu on to the issue.
