They gathered n Friday December 1, 2017, Ellen Zavisca f the Knxville Area TPO did speak abut the bicycle and pedestrian crash map that has been recently psted n the TPO website. On Thursday February 1, 2018 Knxville Area f TSITE and the Knxville Chapter f TAPA gathered fr their lunch meeting. Brian Shamburger and Alisha Eley (f Kimley-Hrn and Assciates) presented n the tpic entitled Creating Mre Accessible Cmmunities: Knx Cunty s Plan fr the Future. They gathered fr breakfast and fellwship n Thursday February 22, 2018, t discuss Traffic Impact Studies. They will be gathering n Thursday March 22, 2018 fr a lunch meeting t discuss traffic impact studies. 3

Vice Kevin Cmstck The TSITE Chattanga Branch is attempting t try smething new this year and mve their meetings arund the Chattanga area t attract ther members. They met n Friday, Octber 13, 2017 in an utdr lunchen with 11 members present. On Friday, Nvember 10, 2017, 18 members met and discussed lcal transprtatin prjects in the area. Bth meetings fr December 8, 2017, and January 12, 2018, were canceled due t weather issues and scheduling cnflicts. They are back n their regular mnthly schedule n the 2nd Friday f the mnth starting February. Nashville: Najmeh Jami TSITE members f Middle Tennessee are having their mnthly meetings and breakfasts n the last Wednesday f the mnth regularly. The meeting tmrrw will nt be at Shney s. They are meeting at the Frthy Mnkey. Memphis: Greg Dtsn / Peter Kaufmann Peter Kaufmann with Barge Design has been actively engaging the Memphis Area ITE members and students in an effrt t restart their mnthly meetings. T-STEM Initiatives in Tennessee and beynd Greg Dtsn Dr. Ivy spke n the initiatives thrughut the Suth East. She versees the Suth East Transprtatin Wrkfrce Develpment, and was instrumental in establishing the T-STEM prcess which is geared tward transprtatin at East High Schl in Memphis. Small and large sub-categries have been added t each f the 11 riginal categries; ttal prject csts exceeding $2.5M will be judged in the large sub-categry and anything under $2.5M will be judged in the small sub-categry. They are als prviding a prmtin fr multiple entries. Upn submitting the initial entry applicatin nline and paying the entry fee, the entrant will receive 25% ff every additinal prject entered int the cmpetitin. EEA Eligibility: All engineering and surveying firms in Tennessee are eligible t nminate a prject fr award cnsideratin. Eligible prjects may be lcated anywhere wrldwide prvided they are managed by a Tennessee firm. All engineers are encuraged t participate; the cmpetitin is nt limited t ACEC member firms.
