We cherish traditinal frms f wrship, but als strive fr penness t new ideas and new peple. Christian educatin, vital t ur missin fr children, yuth, and adults, includes Sunday Schl, Bible studies, VBS, church camp, and Spiritual Renewal prgrams. We have fun tgether, with Easter Egg hunts, Fall Festival, and picnics. We reach ut t the grieving, the sick, and the elderly amng us with prayer, visits, and gifts f fd. The deacns cnnect us t a number f charities in the cmmunity. In sme cases, ur cntributin is financial. In thers, such as the Peple s Table, the cnnectin is hands n as we team up t ck and serve Friday lunch fr the hungry. We have a strng cre membership and a sessin that wrks hard t manage ur prgrams, versee the budget, and supprt the pastr and staff.

3 Clumbia is n the threshld f a ppulatin tsunami. The dwntwn has been revitalized, new businesses are ppping up, and there are new faces everywhere. We need energetic leadership t help us reach ut t newcmers and welcme them int ur church. Our cngregatin is highly cmmitted t supprting prgrams fr children and yuth. We als recgnize the need f the sick and the elderly fr pastral care. It is ur desire that, with grwth, we can add an assciate pastr t diversify and strengthen ur church s prgrams. First Presbyterian has a lng histry f wrking with ther grups in the cmmunity. We pen ur sanctuary fr cncerts and special prgrams. The Bys and Girls Club ccupies a building n ur prperty. We c-rdinate with a number f churches in preparing meals fr the Peple s Table. We jin with Bethel Chapel AME church fr wrship. We gather with ther dwntwn churches t celebrate Hly week.
