1 Wmen s Ministry Jb Descriptins West Valley Missinary Church Revised: Tuesday, September 20, 2016 Missins Statement The Wmen's Ministry f West Valley Missinary Church exists t build a cmmunity f gdly wmen. Directr Jb Descriptin She shall serve a term f 2 years. Electins Elected psitins (belw) are vted n during the Fall seasn prir t first day (Jan 1) f the term Assistant Directr and Secretary (vted n in the Fall f 2016) 2018 Directr, Treasurer, Prjects and Activities Crdinatr (vted n in the Fall f 2017) 2019 Assistant Directr and Secretary (vted n in the Fall f 2018) 2020 Directr, Treasurer, Prjects and Activities Crdinatr (vted n in the Fall f 2019) Prepare fr and lead mnthly meetings including Executive Cmmittee meetings. Oversee the develpment and crdinatin f ministry t all the wmen in the church. Supervised effrts t mentr and disciple wmen f the church, helping them t grw spiritually. Wrk with apprpriate cmmittees, fficers, and leaders t carry ut the ministry f the church. Participate in and versee special events and activities fr wmen. Administer the wrk f wmen's ministries by encuraging teamwrk and mutual supprt and by prviding leadership fr all. Pray regularly fr the wmen f the church and Gd's directin. Develp a wmen's ministries budget, with the help f the Executive Cmmittee, and versee the distributin f funds and keep track f expenditures. Cast ministry visin, establish gals by priritizing related prgrams. Oversee the planning and crdinating f special interest classes such as: cking, gardening, needlewrk, crafts, etc. Attend mnthly Leadership Ministry Meetings with the pastr and ther church leaders. Be accuntable t Wmen's Ministry Executive Cmmittee as well as t the Pastr and the Elder Bard. P a g e 1 7

2 Assistant Directr Jb Descriptin She shall serve a term f 2 years. She is required t attend all mnthly meetings including Executive Cmmittee meetings. Oversee any ministry listed n the flw chart belw her ffice. She shall fulfill all the functins f the directr in her absence. She shall accept administrative assignments frm the Directr. Secretary Jb Descriptin She shall serve a term f 2 years. including prficient cmputer and internet skills She is required t attend all mnthly meetings including Executive Cmmittee meetings. She shall take detailed minutes f all meetings and distribute them (after directr s apprval) less than 2 days after the meeting. She shall ntify all wmen f upcming meetings by , phne and/r pstal mail. She shall assist the directr and ther vlunteers in creating and managing sign-up sheets. She shall create, rganize and maintain a file f imprtant Wmen s Ministry infrmatin. P a g e 2 7

3 Treasurer Jb Descriptin She shall serve a term f 2 years. Be cmpetent in handling mney, keeping recrds and giving reprts. She is required t attend all mnthly meetings including Executive Cmmittee meetings. She shall be respnsible fr all the financial transactins f the ministry. She shall depsit all mnies received in a bank that the Wmen s Ministry has designated. She shall pay ut such sums as apprved by the Directr and Executive Bard (and as dcumented in the minutes). She shall keep accurate financial recrds. She shall be accuntable t the directr and the executive cmmittee. She shall arrange with the church treasurer and/r the elders t have all financial recrds audited annually. There will be tw signatures n the accunt. Prjects and Activities Crdinatr Jb Descriptin She shall serve a term f 2 years. Oversee, plan and crdinate special events and fundraisers fr the Wmen's Ministry. In rder t accmplish the previus task, she must wrk effectively by: frming cmmittees and wrk teams manage the use f church facilities and wmen s ministry resurces P a g e 3 7

4 cmmunicate regularly with the church ffice seek wmen wh will vlunteer t help delegating tasks evaluate prgress regularly She must wrk clsely with Wmen's Ministries Directr and Executive Bard. Prject and Activities Crdinatr shall be accuntable t Wmen's Ministry Directr and Executive Cmmittee. Care Meal Leader Jb Descriptin She is required t attend all mnthly meetings. Call meal prviders n list t arrange fr meals t be delivered t thse wh are ill, injured, recently had a baby, etc. Maintain a list f peple wh can help prvide meals. Be cnsiderate f special diet needs, number f peple in the husehld, and age f the recipients. Be in regular cntact with the recipients s that yu can best prvide the meals that they need and when they need them. Encurage meal prviders t ccasinally d a cmplete meal. Be aware f the area that recipients live s that yu can arrange t have prviders wh live in the same apprximate area s as t make deliveries easier. Special Nte - This jb nly requires that yu have a telephne. Yu ARE NOT required t deliver meals yurself. If yu d nt have transprtatin r are unable t drive, yu can still d this jb! P a g e 4 7

5 Prayer Directr Must have a desire and passin t pray and lead thers in prayer She is required t attend all mnthly meetings including the Executive Cmmittee. Pray fr the ladies in ur church and cmmunity. Encurage prayer and the imprtance f prayer in ur Wmen's ministry. Lead ladies in pray fr upcming events, prayer requests and Thanks Basket in mnthly meetings. Missins Directr Must have a desire and passin fr missins She is required t attend all mnthly meetings including the Executive Cmmittee. Keep up t date n the missinaries we supprt thrugh Wmen's Ministries. Reprt n Missinaries praises and prayer requests at mnthly meeting. P a g e 5 7

6 SnShine Ministry Leader keeping track f birthdays, anniversaries and special events. She is required t attend all mnthly meetings. Acknwledges birthdays, anniversaries and special ccasins fr ur church bdy n behalf f Wmen's Ministries. After Church (Wrship) Fellwship Crdinatr(s) She (they) shall serve a term f 1 year. (The psitin is annual appintment by the directr with the especially managing and recruiting peple. She is required t attend all mnthly meetings. Cllects refreshments fr after church fellwship. Slicits help t set up and cleanup after church fellwship. P a g e 6 7

7 Secret Sister Chairwman Jb Descriptin She is required t attend all mnthly meetings. Must select her wn cmmittee members. Will act as a liaisn between the Secret Sisters and the Wmen's Ministries executive cmmittee. Prmte the Secret Sisters ministry amng the wmen and encurage them t participate. At the prper time, she is t be in charge f making, passing ut, and cllecting Secret Sister frms. She shall revise the frm as needed. She shall run the drawing and eventually the revealing f Secret Sisters. She shall be in charge f the Secret Sister list. She shall answer questins, give suggestins, and reslve cmplaints. She shall peridically remind participating Secret Sisters f their cmmitment. She shall keep the Secret Sister table lking nice. She shall cntact thse wh's gifts accumulate. (ASAP if perishable) She shall print and pass ut "REASONS" calendars, update as needed. She shall write ntes f encuragement t thse NOT participating in Secret Sisters. P a g e 7 7
