1 Supreme Temple Website Cmmittee Guidelines fr Subrdinate Temples 2010 General Subrdinate Temples may create and maintain nly ne website. The design, cntent and dmain name must reflect the standards f Daughters f the Nile. A Supreme Temple Website Review Cmmittee shall be respnsible fr apprving and reviewing the cntent and design f Subrdinate Temple websites upn startup and peridically thereafter. The members f this cmmittee may be the same as r different frm the Supreme Temple Website Cmmittee. A website prpsal shall be submitted fr apprval prir t publishing. A "Prpsal fr Subrdinate Temple Website" frm shall be available thrugh the Supreme Temple website at The prpsal shall include: the name and cntact infrmatin f the respnsible webmaster; the website URL; the Hsting Cmpany r URL f the primary dmain (if publishing n a sub-dmain f a cncrdant bdy such as the lcal Shrine Temple website); basic cntent infrmatin; a draft f the design; date f anticipated publicatin. The respnsible webmaster shall be the nly individual with security access t uplad and maintain the website; a cpy f the security access and general instructins shall be kept under lck and key in the Princess Recrder's ffice. The Queen f the Subrdinate Temple shall have ultimate respnsibility fr apprpriate cntent and design. Subrdinate Temple webmasters must cmply with all decisins f the Supreme Temple Website Review Cmmittee and must make any requested changes t their sites. Design and Cntent All Subrdinate Temple websites shuld include links t the Supreme Temple Daughters f the Nile website and the Daughters f the Nile Fundatin website. Additinal links shuld be limited t thse within the fraternal rganizatins assciated with Freemasnry and Shriners Internatinal. If requested, the Supreme Temple Website Cmmittee may prvide basic design and hsting assistance; hwever, the availability f technical assistance and prgramming will be limited. Graphics may be used; permissin t use the Daughters f the Nile fficial trademark shall be requested f the Supreme Princess Recrder. Only fficial Daughters f the Nile lgs may be used. Be mindful f cpyright standards fr

2 music and graphics. Directry infrmatin shuld be limited t first and last names f fficers, unit directrs, and/r cmmittee chairmen within the Temple, unless the member strictly prhibits it. Examples may include Recrder@Templedmain.cm; Queen@Templedmain.cm; Sewing@Templedmain.cm; CharitableGiving@Templedmain.cm Sickness and distress shuld be limited t asking fr cards and prayers fr members. Members' privacy shall nt be vilated. Phtgraphs shall be in gd taste and shuld be limited t activities related t the Subrdinate Temple, its units and clubs. Any member may request that her phtgraph nt be published. Subrdinate Temples may nt publish phtgraphs f children wh are patients f Shriners Hspitals. Additinal infrmatin If the server n which the website is hsted generates pp-up ads that are nt under the cntrl f the web master, a disclaimer must be psted t the website. Each Subrdinate Temple is respnsible fr all csts assciated with its fficial website, including dmain registratin, website hsting, website design, training and security. Subrdinate Temple websites shall be reviewed annually by the Supreme Temple Website Review Cmmittee.

6 Scial Media Guidelines It is the belief f the Web Site Cmmittee that Scial Media (Facebk, LinkedIn, Twitter, Ggle +, and thers) shuld be used fr the gd f Daughters f the Nile and the lcal Temples. Lcal Temples, as well as grups, are therefre encuraged t create and maintain these accunts. The fllwing shuld be kept in mind when ding s: 1. Ntify the Supreme Temple Web Site Cmmittee (webmaster@daughtersfthenile.cm) f any and all scial media netwrks yur Temple and/r grup uses, as well as the administratrs name and address. 2.
