Mr. Yhn intrduced Vance Miller frm the Lancaster Cunty Career and Technical Center. Mr. Miller administers the truck driving prgram in Lancaster s Adult Educatin Prgram. Mr. Yhn wuld like permissin frm the JOC t mve frward with establishing a truck driving prgram within the Adult Educatin Prgram at CareerTech. Mr. Vance reviewed the prgram and stated it is a five week prgram at LCCTC Mr. Vance thinks this area wuld be an excellent area fr a prgram such as this LCCTC has an agreement with Huntingdn Cunty CTC t help them get their prgram started

3 LCCTC wuld prvide the equipment (tractr trailers), fuel and testing rights CareerTech wuld be respnsible fr advertising the prgram and prviding instructrs Mr. Miller wuld be invlved in selecting instructrs Judy Yhn stated that she will have a business plan t present at the June meeting fr this prgram A lengthy discussin fllwed and Chairman Funk asked if we shuld act n this right away s we culd start the prgram this summer. He based the rent n what Chambersburg pays t lease the bard rm fr classrm space at $7,000 per year. It was nted that the space that Franklin Virtual Academy wuld be using wuld nt be available fr CareerTech t utilize if needed. A lengthy discussin fllwed n the prs and cns f the lease. Mr. Tritle said he believes they are causing t many cncerns and they have sme ther spaces t cnsider. Mr. Funk said the JOC is nt ppsed t leasing the space, but he des believe the rental rate is t lw. It was agreed that the mnthly rental rate wuld be changed t $650. Mr. Nrcrss stated if we mve frward with this prject, we shuld re-evaluate it in six mnths.
