Membership The Temple Gun Club will nw be accepting members every mnth. The dues schedule has been prrated and as set fr ur current dues amunt they will be $100 fr August, September and Octber. After Octber they will decrease by $10 each mnth with Nvember being $90 and July being $10. The $25 initiatin fee still applies each mnth as des the NRA member requirement. Dn Wyatt has agreed t serve as Treasurer. Range Maintenance Saturday, March 24 th frm 07:30 09:00. Please cme ut and help maintain yur range. Range maintenance is scheduled the furth Saturday f every mnth at 7:30 am. We will be pleased t have yu jin in and help. N particular skills are necessary, nly a desire t keep the range neat and tidy. Cme and be prepared t stay nly as lng as yu wuld like. The wrk will typically be ver by 9 am. 3 Defensive Handgun I May 5 &6, 2018 Fr the first time the Temple Gun Club will hst a tp-tier defensive handgun training curse by Guncraft Training Academy. Guncraft Training Academy instructrs have been teaching prfessinal defensive firearms curses fr many years and have nw relcated t Texas. As part f the agreement with the Temple Gun Club, their Defensive Handgun I curse is pen fr enrllment exclusively t club members thrugh the end f February. Only ten (10) students will be allwed int the curse. After February enrllment will be pen t the public. Cst is $500 per student fr this tw-day curse. Typically, yu wuld have t travel ut f state fr this level f training, s take advantage f this pprtunity clse t hme. Club members nly may sign up at the fllwing website: Curse Equipment requirements are: Handgun suitable fr defensive use. Defensive semi-autmatic r revlver, 9 mm r larger caliber. Trigger must be at least 4 lbs. All safety features f the weapn must functin prperly. We recmmend standard pistl sights n the gun. 2 magazines r speed laders fr the weapn are required, at least 3 recmmended. N single-actin revlvers. 450 runds f ammunitin. Factry-laded amm, FMJ, JHP, r sft-pint. N steel prjectiles, incendiary runds, r tracers. Hlster. Firing-side belt hlster. Hlster must fully cver the trigger guard f the weapn when the weapn is hlstered. Hlster must retain its shape when the weapn is withdrawn. Kydex r ther rigid material is recmmended. Hlster shuld be wrn n the pint f the firing-side hip. N Serpa r similar hlsters that require the use f the trigger finger t disengage the retentin device. Magazine Puch.
