6 Scripture Genesis 21:17: And God heard the voice of the lad. Then the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, What ails you, Hagar? Fear not, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is. Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

7 Fear Not Be Not Dismayed An emphatic statement not a suggestion, but a command. Fear Not! Be not dismayed dismayed (27x), afraid (6x), break in pieces (6x), broken (3x), break down (2x), abolished (1x), affrighted (1x), amazed (1x), chapt (1x),confound ( 1x), discouraged (1x), go down (1x), beaten down (1x), scarest (1x), terrify (1x).

9 What do you Fear? The Biblical fears are usually about total decimation! What is the fear that comes upon you? Fear of man s opinion? Fear of sickness? Fear of death? Loss, for your children or family? Stress, anxiety We use the words: concerned, I m afraid, that scares me, worried, stresses me out, etc.

10 Fear is a Spirit like Many Other Spirits Spirit of God (Genesis 1:2) Spirit of Jacob (meaning, Jacob s spirit the spirit of man Genesis 45:27) Spirit of Wisdom (Deuteronomy 34:9 when Moses laid hands on Joshua) Spirit of Jealousy ( comes upon man Numbers 5:30) Spirit of ill will (Judges 9:23 king against another king) Spirit of harlotry, grace, unclean demon, infirmity, divination

11 Spirit of Fear How is a spirit different from an attitude or a mind-set?

12 Despite the Fear God has equipped us for all we need - II Peter 1:3-4 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

13 Partake of the Divine Nature??? I Corinthians 6:19 - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

14 Two Reasons We Fear We don t know in our hearts who God really is We don t know in our hearts who WE really are

15 Who is God? JEHOVAH Self-Existent; the Existing one; Eternal

16 Who is God? Provider (Jehovah Jireh) when I m afraid I wont have enough, or lack is going to ruin me. Genesis 22:14 - And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, in the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. God provided the ram to sacrifice instead of Abraham s son Isaac.

Shield (Jehovah Magen) when I m under attack Genesis 15:1 - After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, H4043 and thy exceeding great reward. Psalm 107:6 - Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

18 Who is God? Healer (Jehovah Rapha) when I m sick or diseased, the Lord will and wants and desires to heal me. It is His WILL to heal me. Exodus 15:26 - And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth H7495 thee.

19 Who Are You? You May Be of Royal Bloodline and don t even know it Yet You Are

20 Who Are You? Sons of God I John 3:1 - Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God Philippians 2:15 - That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

21 Who Are You? Heirs of God Galations 3:29 - And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

22 Who Are You? Labourers with God I Corinthians 3:9 - For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry,ye are God's building.

23 Who Are You? Sons of God Heirs of God Labourer with God

24 So if we understand WHO GOD IS; and WHO WE ARE; Then can we rely more easily on HIS PROMISES?

25 What are the Promises of God? Deuteronomy 31:8 - "The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

26 What are the Promises of God? Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Matthew 11: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

27 So How Do I Get RID of Fear? I John 4: And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.17herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness (confidence) in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

28 The 8 R s RECOGNIZE You must recognize what it is. RESPONSIBILITY You must take responsibility for what you recognize. REPENT Repent to God for participating with what you recognize. RENOUNCE You must make what you recognize your enemy and renounce it. REMOVE IT Get rid of it once and for all. RESIST When it tries to come back, resist it.
