He als shared that Dennis Babbitt had surgery and is recvering well, alng with Jhn Sheets wh als had surgery and was unable t attend tday s meeting because f his recvery. He spke abut being able t present the JROCT award at Warren High Schll where he graduated frm. He encurages all the members f the INSSAR t actively uphld the missin and ideals f the sciety: Educatin, Histry and Patritism. We need t be finding ways every day t engage nt nly the adults but the yuth because they are the future f ur cuntry. At tday s meeting yu can see ur ever increasing success when yu see the winner f the Eagle Scut Cntest, watch tday s Rumbaugh Oratins cntest r the mre than ne dzen psters frm kids in grades 3-5. Ck Chapter which has pledged $2,000 tward the estimated cst f $10,000; dedicates $2,000 fr the prject t be placed in the Histrical Marker Fund, and will match dllar fr dllar any additinal prject dnatins t the Histrical Marker Fund up t the estimated prject cst f $10,000. The Additin t Bylaw 3 Chapters Sectin 4. The prcess f Chapter charter revcatin shall be: a. The State Sciety Eecutive Cmmittee shuld reprt at any Huse f Delegates Meeting any issues with a Chapter. b. Immediately after that Huse f Delegates meeting the State Sciety Secretary shall ntify each Chapter Officer in writing via Certified mail the reasns their charter is in danger, and give then until the net Huse f Delegates Meeting t rectify the prblem(s). c. If NOT rectified the State Sciety Eecutive Cmmittee shall reprt at the net Huse f Delegates Meeting and makes a mtin t put the Chapter n Prbatin d. The State Sciety Secretary shall send each chapter member in writing via certified mail the reasns their chapter charter is n prbatin, and give them until the net Huse f Delegates Meeting t rectify the prblem(s). e. If NOT rectified the State Sciety Eecutive Cmmittee shall reprt at the net Huse f Delegates Meeting and makes a mtin t revke the Chapter s charter. The Additin t Bylaw 3 Chapters Sectin 5. A Chapter shall hld a minimum f ne regular chapter meeting per year. a. A schedule f all regular chapter meetings shall be prvided in writing t the INSSAR Secretary and shall be psted n the chapter website r, if the Chapter has n website, n the INSSAR events calendar. b. Regular chapter meetings shall be pen t all SAR members and the general public. Hwever, the Chapter shall NOT be respnsible fr any csts assciated with the attendance f nn-chapter SAR members r members f the public. c. In the event the Chapter must take up matters f a sensitive nature, the Chapter may hld a clsed-dr meeting pen nly t registered chapter members. Nn-chapter members may attend if specifically invited in writing. Matters f a sensitive nature which may be discussed at any clseddr meeting s called may include, but nt be limited t: (i) the perfrmance r nn-perfrmance f duties by an fficer f the Chapter; (ii) the qualificatins f, r the prpsed appintment f, any fficer r delegate t serve at the Chapter level; (iii) the status f financial accunts and reprting at the Chapter level; (iv) strategies cncerning member recruitment and retentin; (v) the prpsed revcatin f a Chapter s charter under Sectin 3 f these Bylaws abve if instigated by the State

6 rganizatin; (vi) the jb perfrmance evaluatin f emplyees, if any, hired at the Chapter level; (vii) and the prpsed award f any citatin, certificate r medal t any nn-chapter member r business rganizatin. A ntice f why the clsed-dr meeting was held shall be submitted t the INSSAR President, the INSSAR Secretary, and the District Vice President within 10 days f the meeting. A clsed-dr eecutive sessin shall be held in additin t, but nt in place f, a regular meeting. Prpsal t Fund Yuth Cntest Winners Travel Epenses submitted by Yuth Chairman T. Re Leger II - I mve that the INSSAR supprt eligible award recipients r cmpetitrs in the Yuth Awards Prgrams (Rumbaugh Oratins, Knight Essay, King Eagle Scut Schlarship, JROTC) at the NSSAR Annual Cngress in the amunt f $ t cver travel epenses f the cmpetitr and chaperne/parent. This INSSAR financial supprt is independent f any ther financial supprt that the cmpetitr may be given.
