January Greeters: January 20 Elaine Layton January 27 Lloyd and Sylvia Gilliam Announcements: Attention Ladies: If you are not already a member, we would love to have you join the Women's Fellowship. We have two circles, both meet on the second Tuesday of the month. The Willing Workers Circle meet at 1:30 p.m. and the Mary Martha Circle at 7:00 p.m. We have joint meetings in March, June, September and December. The circles do not meet during the summer months of July and August. We study, have fun and fellowship and work hard together to draw closer to God and strength our church. Hope to see you at one of our next meetings on February 12th! Music and Worship Committee: The Music and Worship Committee will be having a meeting this Friday, January 25 th at 10:00 a.m. in the Choir Room. Board of Christian Education/Youth Program: There will be a Board of Christian Education Meeting on Saturday, January 26 from 9-10 in the choir room for all teachers and board members, to discuss the Sunday School program for the children. Carmen Following this meeting there will be a Children's Program meeting for All Leaders and those assisting from The purpose of this meeting will be to review our 2019 planning calendar. Please make every effort to join us. Your thoughts and ideas will aid us in having a successful year for our children. Lisa Sunday School Teachers Needed: Sunday School teachers are needed for the Children s Sunday School classes from 9:45 10:45. It would only be one time a month and the curriculum is provided. If you are interested or would like more information please contact Carmen Cox, ccox@labcorp.com or Consistory Members: Please make a note on your February calendars the February 14 th regularly scheduled meeting will be moved to February 21 st.

4 Affordable Piano Lessons at Mount Hope: Interested in learning how to play the piano or increase the keyboard skills you already have? Mt. Hope's very own Ekin Ustunel has openings to teach piano students of all ages here at Mt. Hope on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If you are interested please contact Ekin to schedule a free consultation and lessons. Children s Music: Due to the inclement weather interfering, Children s Music is rescheduled for this Sunday (1/20)! K-5th grade will meet in the New Fellowship Hall from 4:00-4:30 before Young Disciples. Pre-K and their parents will have music from 4:30-5:00, also in the New Fellowship Hall. Come ready to sing and move around! We re planning to have the children sing what they ve learned in the church service on the last Sunday of the month! New Members Class: The next new member class will be January 13, 20 and 27, We will meet in the old (I like to call it retro) fellowship space at 9:15. Coffee and muffins will be provided. Condolences: Our Christian sympathies go out to the family of Milliard Levens who passed away on Tuesday, January 15 th. Milliard was the brother and last living sibling of our beloved Lorena Levens.
