December Greeters: December 31 Stanley Buff Mt. Hope Youth Program has teamed up with Texas Roadhouse for a Fundraiser to benefit Karen Kirkman's Medical Expenses. Please come out and enjoy a meal. Let's embrace this cause with the love of her church and community and to help raise funds for their family. When: Sunday, January 7, 2018 Time: 11 am - 10 pm Location: 1651 Glidewell Drive, Burlington, NC Contribution: 10% of the sells will be donated to the family More information about Karen- Our dear life long church member was in remission, in 2015, from cervical cancer. Unfortunately the cervical cancer has returned and metastasized to stage 4. The doctors advise cancer is in and around her lungs. The tumor is pressing on her esophagus, making it very difficult for her to swallow food. The tumor is also pressing on her lung, causing one lobe to completely collapse and another to be partially collapsed. She has finished up 2 weeks of radiation and has begun chemo treatments. We would like to pray and support Karen in her journey of healing. Christmas Decorations: We will be taking down the Christmas decorations on Monday, January 8th, at 6:30 p.m. We would appreciate any and all help!!! It's not as much fun as putting them up, but it has to be done!! Young Disciples will begin meeting again Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 4:30. Dinner will be served 5:30-6:00. Our normal schedule will be to meet the first 3 Sundays in each month; however, in February we will not meet February 11th. One Sunday afternoon this year will be centered around music with Sue Holt as the leader. We always welcome new members aged Kindergarten through 5th Grade. If you have any
