December Greeters: December 23 Sylvia and Lloyd Gilliam December 31 Stan Buff Announcements: We will be celebrating Holy Communion during the Christmas Eve Service and again on January 6 th. Sleeping Mats: Come and join us on January 6 th at 3:00 PM in the Old Fellowship Hall to learn how to make sleeping mats out of plastic bags. Plastic bags transformed into plarn, plastic yarn, crocheted into a mat becomes a welcomed gift for someone who often sleeps on the ground and out in the elements. Studies have shown that these sleeping mats raise the body temperature of someone sleeping on the ground by 10 degrees. Many hands make for light work, come and join us. (Bring scissors and a Q hook if you have one.) This is a great activity for the whole family. Young and old, those in the prime of their life and those who are well past it! There is something for everyone. Christmas Eve Service: The family-friendly Christmas Eve candlelight service will be Monday, December 24 th at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. Join us Sunday, December 30 th as we ring in the new year together at church. Worship will be in the fellowship hall at 11:00 AM. The service will be full of music and worship. The dress is casual. After the service we will eat a traditional New Year s meal together. Start your new year off in church praising God!! If you are interested in preparing a ham for the New Year s meal at the church, please see Pastor Kristin today! Upper Room Booklets: The new Upper Room Devotional books are available in the Narthex and in the Breezeway. Please pick one up and remember to leave $1.00 in the box provided to help with the cost. Offering Envelopes: The offering envelopes for 2019 are available in the Educational Building Hallway. If you do not find any assigned to you and you need them, please contact Shirley in the office at and she will see that you get some.

4 Mt Hope Church - Christmas Card Exchange: Would you love to exchange more Christmas Cards with family, friends and neighbors, attending Mt Hope? We have the solution for you. Bring your completed Christmas Cards and place in the designated box, located in the Education Building. Sylvia Belvin Condolences: Prayers and sympathy to Joan May at the death of her brother-n-law, G A Neese. He passed away in Florida on Thursday, December 20 th.
