People: We thank you, O God, for these your faithful children and for the work they do by serving in the fields of administration, the government, education, the law, music, and the arts. We ask that you bless their hands as they touch others. Bless their eyes that will see what You see, their
3 ears as they hear stories, their minds as they analyze and make decisions, their hearts as they care, their spirits as they seek to do your will. Help them to be gentle in their dealings with others and with themselves. Bless their creativity and the gifts they share with the world. Keep them safe in their work, protect them from harm and may they always know that every act of kindness done by them is holy and blessed by you. In Jesus name we pray, Amen. Mark Your Calendars for Saturday, November 26 th : Please come out and help us set up the Outdoor Nativity Scene on the front lawn of the church at 9:00 a.m. Let s share this display to show why "Jesus is the reason for the season!" Thank you! MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Christmas is just around the corner!! We will be decorating our church on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. As usual, we will serve a light supper before we get started. Tim will provide Christmas music on the piano as we decorate! Please come out and join us! It's a great way to start our holiday season!! The Poinsettia Fund - Due to the overwhelming success of our change in tradition in 2013, we are NOT going to order poinsettias again this year to decorate our church. Instead, we are going to give you an opportunity to donate money in memory or in honor of your loved ones. The funds collected and placed in the Poinsettia Fund will be divided between Urban Ministry and the Meals4Kids Mission. An
5 insert will be placed in the bulletin on Sunday, December 18th, listing the names of the memorials and honorees. Instead of purchasing a poinsettia, we hope you will donate $10 toward this worthy cause. Please turn in your donations and completed forms to the office or place in the offering plate by Sunday, December 11 th. Thank you! Pews: There are a few pews for purchase. If you are interested, please call Bennie Gerner ( ). The cost is $150 per pew. Mt. Hope Aprons: We still have some Mt. Hope Church Aprons. They are $16 each and would make a great Christmas gift for the cooks you love. Proceeds support the youth. Please contact Gloria Apple if you are interested or gloria@industrialpowerinc.com Condolences: Our Christian sympathies go out to the family of Ellen Naylor Hargis who passed away on Thursday, November 17, She was the mother of Tony Staley. Funeral arrangements are undetermined but Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty will be caring for the family. Please keep the family in your prayers. Weekly Reflection: As you go through this holiday week, consider how your thanksgiving speaks to your decision to have Christ as your king? Does your thanksgiving lead you to be a person who blesses others? How can you make your Thanksgiving to God a more joyous event?
