Please fill out a visitor s card found in the small pew racks and place them in the offering plate. If you have questions about Mt. Hope, please contact one of the pastors. We re glad you are here! Children's Christmas Play: It's that time of year again! Get out your angel wings, shepherds crooks and bring your best "bbaaaaaaaah." The children are going to tell us the story of Jesus' birth. Children Pre-k through 6th grade will begin practicing for the musical on November 4th at 4:30 pm in the New Fellowship Hall. Please see Joan for a practice CD. Mark your calendars now! The children will perform the Christmas musical on Sunday, December 9th right after church. The youth will prepare a soup and sandwich lunch for us just before the play begins. Church membership will be having an annual meeting to vote on leadership of the church as well as to approve the 2019 annual budget. The congregational meeting will be held on November 11, 2018 immediately after 11:00 am worship. Your voice is important to the life of this congregation and we hope you will make every effort to be here on November 11. Thanksgiving Service: The Thanksgiving Community Service will be Sunday, November 18 th at 6:00 PM here at Mount Hope. We will worship together with area churches in our sanctuary. Following the service we will fellowship together around food in the new fellowship hall. Come be a part of this special time in the life of our community. Supper Proceeds: Please be thinking of suggestions for giving the 15% of the supper proceeds. Thank You: I would to thank my wonderful church family for all the cards, prayers, and expressions of concern during my recent surgery. 4 Condolences: Our Christian sympathies go out to the family of Coy Amick who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28 th. Coy was a member of Mt. Hope for many years. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Slaughter (Ronald) and Sharon Lanning (Steve) and his son, Jeff. Please pray for the family. Coy will be missed. Weekly Reflextion: What does it mean to love God with all your heart, mind and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself? What can you do to watch out for the oppressed, the widows, the orphans, the persecuted, those who are hated for being themselves? How will you choose love this week?
