Please fill out a visitor s card found in the small pew racks and place them in the offering plate. If you have questions about Mt. Hope, please contact one of the pastors. We re glad you are here! We honor our Veterans today. We thank you for your service to our country and for your commitment to the freedoms we enjoy. Our annual Congregational meeting will be held this morning directly following worship. We encourage all members of Mt. Hope UCC to stay and attend the meeting. We will be voting on our budget for 2019 and we will be presenting the slate of officers for approval. The nominees for Deacon who will be voted on at the meeting following worship: Gloria Apple, Lorie Arrington, Bill Craft, Cathy Gossett, Dora Moore, and Kraven Webb. Dean Greeson is running for Trustee. Thanksgiving Service: The Thanksgiving Community Service will be Sunday, November 18 th at 6:00 PM here at Mount Hope. We will worship together with area churches in our sanctuary. Following the service we will fellowship together around food in the new fellowship hall. Come be a part of this special time in the life of our community. Desserts Needed: We will be working together with Southeast Church of the Nazarene to prepare refreshments following the Community Thanksgiving Service here on November 18 th. Mt. Hope will be responsible for desserts. Please bring your specialty!! We are hoping to have good attendance so we will need lots of desserts. Attention Ladies: If you brought items for the bazaar, please check in the old fellowship hall. If your items did not sell, please pick them up and take them home. Thanksgiving Week Office Hours: Shirley will be working all day on Tuesday, November 20 th. She will be in from 8:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. She will be preparing the bulletin for November 25 th on that day so will need any information that you want included by noon. She will be out of the office on Wednesday,

4 November 21 st. Both the Pastors office and the Church office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November Offering Envelopes: Offering envelopes for 2018 will be available in the next few weeks. If you do not have envelopes and would like them please contact the church office and Shirley will assign you some. Handel s MESSIAH: You are invited to the 65th annual performance of Handel's MESSIAH, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre, 310 S. Greene Street. The Greensboro Oratorio Singers and Orchestra, joined by singers from throughout the Triad area, present this event. Admission is free. Condolences: Our Christian sympathies go out to the family of Bill Starr who passed away early Friday morning, November 9 th. The funeral will be held here at the church this afternoon. The time will be announced. Bill was a well loved member of Mt. Hope and will be greatly missed. Please keep the family in your prayers at this time. Thank You: The JW Johnson Family wishes to express their sincere thanks to our church family for the visits, phone calls cards, prayers and food during Jay's sickness and passing. A special thank you to Lynne and Kristin for being with us at any time we needed them. A special thank you to the Bereavement Committee for fixing a wonderful snack after the funeral.
