3 Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Today is the second Sunday of Lent and as we continue our journey through the Psalms we look at perhaps one of the most famous of all the psalms Psalm 23. Next week we will continue walking the Psalms of the Passion with Psalm 24. Pastor Michael s sermon discussion class will take place after this morning service in the Fireside Room. We will meet and talk about the message some more. Please come with your comments and questions or just to listen. All are welcome! This morning we have the opportunity to hear from Dawn Bloningen, a Pease CRC member and Director of the Milaca Area Food Pantry. Our offering today is for the food pantry as part of the state s #squashhunger campaign. Redeemed, a Men s Double Quartet will be in concert in our church next Sunday afternoon, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. A free will offering will be received for the Milaca Area Food Pantry to assist them with their March Minnesota Food Share month. Your offering received last Sunday, March 5, for the General Fund totaled $5,894. The offering for Community Christian School was $1, Your offering next Sunday, March 19, will be received for the Pease Scholarship Fund and on March 26, for Ministry Shares. March is Squash Hunger Month so we re collecting shampoo! No joke The Milaca Area Food Pantry does not only provide food to struggling families but also household items that every family needs. But the food pantry has access to food for much lower costs than the average family, but they do not have access to discounted toiletries. By your donation of toiletries, they have more funds to buy food This is a win-win for everyone! So for the next three Sundays, there will be a bin in the back of church to hold all the toiletries we can bring in. (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant ) So let s squash hunger by donation toothpaste!!

4 Our Church Family Please pray for Harlin Hanenburg as he will be having surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor from his bladder. Please keep Samantha Burklund in your prayers as she had emergency surgery this past Tuesday, at Fairview Northland Hospital to remove her gallbladder and a gallstone. She is at home recovering. We express our sympathy to Bonnie Homstad and her family in the death of her brother, Robert. His funeral was held yesterday Lighthouse Fellowship Church. I would like to thank my church family for all of your thoughtfulness you showed to me during my recent surgeries. Thank you for the calls, visits, food, cards and prayers on my behalf. When I needed the second surgery I was very discouraged, but I could feel your support in helping me through it. A special thank your to Pastor Michael for his visits and much needed uplifting words of encouragement. Please continue to pray for patience for me as I continue to recover. Your church and its members are very welcoming and I felt so at ease as I spoke to you. Thank you so much for your generosity to the Holiday Helping Hands program. You truly show God s love in your giving. Candy Jacobson SNL is tonight at 4:30 with GEMS, Cadets, and Kids Club all meeting. Pastor Michael s class will focus on Roman Catholicism. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Cadets: Bring your aluminum nameplate and your unfinished lanyard to Cadets tonight. Older Cadets: bring your Quest magazine as well. Pine Wood Derby cars were distributed to all Cadets and GEMS Sunday, February 26. The race will be held the evening of Sunday, May 7. There are 3 classes: Cadets, GEMS and an Open Class for anyone who would like to compete. You may pick up a car in the office along with the Rules for $3.00. Trial runs and weight adjustment night is Sunday, April 23.

5 Needed: Twenty dozen cookies and cases of pop are needed for the Youth Rally on March 15. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board, so please help our kids out with your donation! Community Christian School of Pease will be presenting their annual spring play "Robin Hood" this Thursday and Friday, March 16 & 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bethel Church in Princeton. Please plan to join us for a delightful evening as our students entertain you. Everyone invited No Admission Fee. Free will donations will be gratefully accepted. You are invited to attend an Adult Retreat, hosted by Bethel Church in Princeton, Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1, at McQuoid s Inn & Event Center. Pastor Arlan Koppendrayer will be the speaker this year telling God s story through parables and teachings. For more information, please note the flyer and sign up sheet on the bulletin boards. CCS AUCTION & DINNER, Friday April 7 Welcome Aboard! It is time to set sail for Community Christian School's Annual Auction & Dinner Friday, April 7, Drop your anchor and join the fun! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and auction to follow. Individual tickets are only $25 (open seating) OR you may buy a RESERVED table for eight people for $180 and sit with your first mates.
