4 WELCOME: A special and sincere welcome we extend to everyone who is worshipping here today. May you know Him as your God, love Him as your Savior, and profess Him tomorrow and always as your King. Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning, our series through Acts comes to the Apostle Paul s first recorded sermon in Acts 13: At different times in your life, you might get put on the hot seat, having to answer questions to prove your trustworthiness. For all who tend to put God on the hot seat, Paul provides Encouragement to Believe. This evening, our messages on parenting continue. Pastor Drew will be looking at the first of three roles for specifically Christian parents: Parenting as Prophets. PRAYERS AND PRAISES From the Elders: This past week, our Elders made a number of decisions regarding church membership: Roy and Norma Lorenson applied for and were admitted to full membership. We give thanks for Roy and Norma s faithful presence among us for years and now welcome them to the joys, privileges and responsibilities of membership! The following baptized members of our covenant youth were admitted to full membership and will be professing their faith publicly in coming weeks: Kamilla Pheifer, Karleah Pheifer and Sonya Hansum. Give thanks for God s work growing these youth and pray for their continued faithfulness as full members of the body of Christ!

5 OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS Bridal Shower Change: the bridal shower for Jessica Weg has been postponed until April 28 at 9:30AM. Evening Song Service-Anyone interested in doing the evening song service, please contact Karla Minn-I-Kota Jr-High youth retreat- the 8th annual Jr.-high retreat will be April at Inspiration Hills. For registration forms, check on the bulletin board. Questions? Lee or Karla Deadline April 12. AREA ANNOUNCEMENTS The DCS Post Banquet Committee is selling Dakota Tom Sandwiches. If interested, find order blanks and a receiving box on the tables in the foyer. Orders are due Tuesday, April 10, and sandwiches will be ready for pick up on Wednesday, April 18. A DCS scrip order will be placed on Tuesday, April 17. Orders may be placed in Joan s mailbox until Sunday evening or brought to DCS by 8:30 am on Tuesday. Thanks for using this means to support Christian education! New Roots Ministry will be hosting: "My Neighbors- Immigrants/Refugees in this Region" on Sat, April 21, 10 AM - 2:15 PM. TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) is a non-denominational three -day spiritual retreat for teenagers. 9-12th graders are eligible to attend the weekend of June 1-3, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Come join us at St. Peter s Catholic Church in Platte for an afternoon of music and fellowship today at 2 p.m. The event is being held to help offset medical expenses for Alisha Mueller, granddaughter of Tom and Barb Travis. Dakota Christian School educates children and young people from the perspective of God s Word, in the Holy Bible, in all subjects.
