3 WELCOME TO WORSHIP AT BETHEL! Thank you for joining us today! If you are visiting us today for the first time, please feel free to help yourself to a gift from the welcome basket located in the Gathering Place. Please return as we would love to get to know you better! WE WELCOME MINNESOTA TEEN CHALLENGE today as they share God s love and faithfulness to His children. Please plan to stay with us after the service for the lunch we will be serving and get to know our guests better. Even if you haven t brought something, plan to stay as there is always enough food for everyone! SECOND OFFERING TODAY MINNESOTA TEEN CHALLENGE offers both a long-term faith based recovery program and a shorter-term treatment program allowing them to serve individuals with a broad spectrum of addiction issues; from seeking first time treatment, to those struggling with addiction for many years. Every Sunday, groups from Teen Challenge residents visit regional churches where they share inspirational songs and personal stories of their recovery from addiction. The choir provides a unique learning environment and plays an integral part in the recovery process as residents truly benefit from giving vocal expression to the life change what they have experienced. PRODIGAL GOD SERIES This week we will continue meeting in our small groups and focus on The Two Lost Sons. reading from Chapters Two & Three, pages in the book if you have one. Next week during our service we will move into part four of our small group series on The Prodigal God. We look forward to continuing this series as a community here at Bethel, watching to see how God will use it for His glory. If you would like to participate in a small group, please talk with Jason. WEEK FOUR PEEK Small Group Topic: The Elder Brother; Book pages, Chapter Four pages He Refused to Go In from Luke 15: SECOND OFFERING NEXT WEEK Rum River Life Choices Center is a Christ-centered ministry committed to upholding the sanctity of human life by reaching out with truth and love to persons with needs related to sexuality, pregnancy, parenting, and post-abortion trauma. They provide material needs, emotional and spiritual support, and proclaim the Gospel in word and deed. Since 1984, they have had the opportunity to minister to an average of 100 new clients each year. The follow-up visits for classes and counseling average an additional 700 client visits annually. In an effort to double these numbers and bring the life-saving message to even more men and women, they have a goal in 2015 to open a branch center in Princeton! Please prayerfully consider how God will have you help Change More Hearts and Save More Lives through this new venture.

4 WILD GAME FEED! The Ignite Youth Group is getting ready for their upcoming Wild Game Feed,THIS SATURDAY, January 24 th at 6:00pm. The students are roundingup donations and if you would like to donate something to be used as a Door Prize or Silent Auction item, talk to either Geoff Bazuin or Troy Payment. 5 THANK YOU to Wes & Sandi Geurkink for kicking off the Meals a la Car program this month. As you probably remember, Bethel Church is now serving individuals within the City of Princeton by delivering lunchtime meals. January is our first month! There are 7 other churches delivering meals as well, so our next month to deliver will be September. Get involved as it s really a lot of fun to serve the people of Princeton. FAITH FORMATION WORKSHOP Saturday, March 7, Calvary CRC in Edina from 9am 2pm. How can we seek to make our congregation a place in which all members of the community from the youngest to the oldest find a spiritual home and are challenged to grow in Christ? Questions like these cut to the heart of congregational ministry today. You are invited along with others to receive tools for strengthening discipleship and faith formation in our congregation. Please talk with your Elder if you would like to attend. PRIORITY #1: CLASSROOM TEACHERS NEEDED! Plans have begun for BAC 2015! 6 God is at work in the many of Bethel s ongoing ministries and we plan to include periodic highlights in our Sunday s bulletin. If you would like to find out more or possibly get involved, please contact the ministry leader. CARE TEAM - Many in our congregation are extensions of God s hands in caring for the needs of others. We are creating an care contact list. The people on this list will be informed of others who could use an extra touch of love. They will be notified via - or another manner if you don t have - of the needs. Upon receiving the information you can decide it might be a good time for you to care for this individual/family. The caregiver could contact the individual/family to find out when they might be of service or just meet the need another way. Some suggestions to think about: make a meal, create a soup/bread that could be stored in our freezer for deliveries, shovel a walk, send a card, give a call or say a prayer. Whatever God places on your heart! We are open to hearing your ideas of how to proceed as well. To inform us of a need for you or another, fill out a NEED CARE card in the Gathering Place or contact the Bethel Office at bethelprinceton@gmail.com or and we will send it out. GEMS: Melissa Terpstra would like to collect about 5 each of empty tissue boxes and open tin cans that do not have a sharp edge. If you have some to spare, please give them to her TODAY. ALSO, if you love to work with girls and would like to get to know our GEMS girls, we have an opportunity for you! GEMS is having a badge day at Bethel Church on Saturday, February 21 and we are looking for women that would be willing to volunteer to teach or assist with a badge. The class would last one hour and a lesson plan and project ideas would be provided. There are numerous badges to choose from to teach including cooking, baking, candy making, cake decorating, sculpting, exercise, nutrition, sewing, quilting, woodworking, animals, first aid, signing, drama, wise shopping, etc. Also, if you aren t able to teach a badge, but would like to help out, we will need food for lunch/snacks and supplies for the badge projects. If you are interested in helping, please talk to Heather Van Zee (Phone: hrvanzee@gmail.com) BOYS CLUB: This week, the Boys' Club will be starting their annual Pinewood Derby car project. Look for more details in the coming weeks.
