3 Sermon Notes Thank you for allowing our nursery staff to care for your little ones so the worship of others will not be distracted. Pagers are available. Children are invited to participate in the Children s Message. When they exit they may join the Little Lambs (age 3-5) or the Worship Center (K-2nd grade). At the close of the service, please call for your child. Both centers are located upstairs, first hallway on the left. As a courtesy, please switch your cell phones off or to silent mode. Hearing enhancers are available. Please ask an usher. The flow of the worship service is subject to change.

4 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord s praises, for he has been good to me (Psalm 13:5-6). Worship is a celebration of the Lord s salvation in Jesus Christ. May you rejoice with God s people as we sing the Lord s praises for his goodness to us. Welcome to the worship of our Savior! This morning Pastor Michael will continue his series in Galatians on baptism, Living Wet using Galatians 3:1-14. Next week we will use Galatians 3:15-4:7 and talk about the Promise of Baptism. Today we are blessed to participate in the baptism of Brody Kent Sikkink, the son of Shad and Megan Sikkink as we remember together the grace of God and his covenant faithfulness to us and our children. Pastor Michael s sermon discussion class will meet in the sanctuary after the worship service. All are welcome to come and continue a conversation about the message and how we might be able to apply it to our daily lives in the coming week. SNL meets tonight at 4:00! Kid s Club, GEMS, Cadets and Pastor Michael s class will all take place. Our ALPHA Class will be taking up the question, Who is the Holy Spirit, and what does He do? All are welcome to attend. 5 Our Church Family Please keep Helen Kok, Joyce Reiman, Rena Top, and Norma Hanenburg in your prayers as they continue to recover from surgeries and illnesses. I would like to say thank you for all the prayers, visits, food and treats. Also to Pastor Michael for visits and prayers; and thank you to a very special person, Dewey Droogsma, who has always been there for us when we needed help since we ve moved. Today marks Pastor Stephen Blenkush s final Sunday at Zion Lutheran before he begins his new call at Our Savior s Lutheran in Pequot Lakes in February. The community is invited to gather for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Lunch with the Pease Bunch, tomorrow, January 28, at 11:30 a.m. at the Milaca Park Apartments. Menu includes: Maple Glazed Pork, Confetti Couscous, Broccoli Spears, Wheat Bread and Pudding. Attention-Crossroads Mentors, former mentors and anyone who wants to become a mentor. There will be a meeting this Tuesday, January 29, 10:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. We will be discussing some changes and recruiting new mentors. If interested, please attend.

6 Everyone is welcome to come to the Fireside Room on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. for coffee and conversation during January and February. There is usually food too!! Family Faith Formation Tip:- Make faith formation a part of birthday celebrations this year. Thank God for the birthday person and share some of the ways that person blesses your family and others. Talk about the unique gifts God has given him or her. Or pass birthday candles out to family members and ask them to name one thing they love about the birthday person before placing the candle on the cake. Affirmation is the best birthday gift of all! (Faith Formation Ministries; crcna.org/faithformation) Community Christian School (CCS) in Pease will soon be accepting applications for the school year. Community Christian offers excellent Early Childhood programs specifically designed for 3 & 4 year olds. (Space is limited.)
