2 Weekly Announcements There will be information and signup sheets by the coffee table this morning after church for anyone interested in helping with King's Kids this summer. We will be joining with Angel Community Church this year for this program. They will be supplying half of the staff and we will supply the other half. We are looking forward to this cooperative effort. We need teachers, classroom helpers, snack suppliers, flier distributors, and ice cream sundae servers. If you'd like to help, please sign up or see Jill Schuitema. Thank you for being in prayer for the staff, the kids, and the whole program in general. You are invited to pray for the congregation and staff of Bethany CRC in Muskegon. Their interim pastor, Rev. Sid Sybenga, had a heart attack on Monday while running in Grand Rapids. We have heard that Sid is stable for now, remains in ICU and is surrounded with family. His wife is with him, and two of his three sons are now with them as well. The third will be in GR no later than Sunday, as he is flying home from Paris. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers over the coming weeks. Specifically, we would petition for Sid s full healing and restoration, for the Holy Spirit to equip those in leadership roles at Bethany to fulfill the duties assigned, and for the edification of the person God has identified to become the next lead pastor at Bethany. Additionally, we would ask for an appropriate amount of indifference to any particular outcome in this situation, knowing that God s will is utmost. WORSHIP LEADER POSITION-South Grandville Christian Reformed Church in Grandville, Michigan is seeking a Worship Leader for 2-3 Sunday mornings a month. We are looking for a musically gifted person who will rehearse with a praise team during the week and then lead congregational singing during morning worship services. Weekly Announcements Dan and Carmen Huttenga have decided to leave Allen Avenue and seek a church home elsewhere. In order to avoid misunderstandings, misinformation, rumors and potential strife, the consistory asks that members limit communications with the Huttenga's to expressions of love and appreciation. We are grateful for all they have meant to our congregation in recent years, and wish them God's best in the future. Thank you, Allen Ave family, for your kindness to us these last few weeks. We were strengthened by your messages of sympathy and your prayers following the death of our dad and Papa. You have been holding us in a net of grace, and we are grateful. Dan and Arlene DeKam and family Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Tomorrow, Bessie and I, along with ten young adults mainly ATS students leave for a two-week short term mission to Cambodia. We will be hosted by Solid Rock Missions in central Cambodia, a ministry initiated by Filipinos. They operate an orphanage, school, and hospital. Norvin, a recent ATS grad, and I will conduct eight training sessions on Pastoral Ministry with a group of rural Cambodian pastors. I will also give the Sunday message on July 1. Bessie will serve as team chaplain, and I as faculty adviser. Please especially lift up these roles and ministries in prayer. Pray also for Justin, our student team leader; Raniel and Elma our group leaders; and especially for our physician-host, Dr Castro, who has been experiencing complications from gall bladder surgery that he had a couple weeks ago. Please also be praying for:- safety from all harm, sickness, and evil; - good health and strength; - provisions for all that will be needed;- travelling mercies to and from Cambodia, and within the country; - wisdom, hope, faith, humility, and love as we all share the Lord Jesus Christ;- team unity and camaraderie; - open hearts among the people, receptive to the Gospel; - great learning experiences for our team members, and - God's glory to be experienced by all. We will try to update you several times during the mission trip. Please also pray for our other two mission teams. The team to southern Philippines has already arrived there. The team to Indonesia will fly there July 5. Thank you for praying! May God bless us all more abundantly!
