When you pledge support for the campaign, structuring your gift over three years allows for financial flexibility while supporting our priests, women religious and parishes. Consider this: a parish family may be thinking of supporting the campaign goals with a one-time payment of $1,000, a generous gift indeed. If that same family reflects and decides they can do that same $1,000 commitment for each of the following two years, their $1,000 gift will turn into a $3,000 pledged gift. That s three times the impact! A pledged commitment adds up quickly and will help Holy Spirit reach its campaign goal. As part of this campaign, 15 percent of the funds raised by our parish will be returned to address our specific needs of HVAC upgrade in both churches. When we exceed our campaign goal, then 85 percent of each dollar raised after will be returned to our parish. Pledges are not legally binding, but intentions made in good faith. Your pledge can be fulfilled through monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual installments. It may also be possible to increase your support for the campaign with a matching gift from your employer. You may benefit from supporting the campaign with a charitable deduction on your tax return, and the diocese will provide these tax statements at the end of each year. Campaign Update: Our families at Holy Spirit have currently raised $428,347 toward our goal of $850,000. This comes from the generosity of 209 families. 4 FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT / CUARTO DOMINGO DE ADVIENTO HOLY SPIRIT END OF YEAR TAX REMINDER For those who might be itemizing their deductions, we will process all donations (Sacrificial giving, St. Vincent de Paul, Maintenance fund, etc.) on December 31 st. Donations received by December 31 will be recorded on your 2018 parish giving report. Please note the parish office will close December 24 and reopen January 2. The last day to drop off donations during regular office hours is Friday, December 21 at 12:00pm. To make special arrangements to bring your donation to the office, please contact Kristi by Thursday, December 20 at Online Giving transactions after December 28, 2018 may not be recorded in 2018 due to varying processing procedures of banks. Please consider an end of year donation to your parish or one of the many catholic charities.
