Bill Thank You from Fr. Bruno I sincerely thank those who prayed for me and planned for the Silver Jubilee of my Sacerdotal Ordination. I also thank all who came to help celebrate this special moment in my priesthood. I can't thank you enough for the dedication and generosity that it took to make this event happen. Though I would have neither asked for nor expected a celebration such as this, I am genuinely touched by all that was done for the occasion, and I appreciate each moment that we spent together. It was a joyous day! ~ Fr. Dindo Bruno Cuario Thanks to all of those who have planned and prepared for the very special Celebration of Father Bruno s 25th Anniversary of Ordination! Let us remember each of us has a role, as Catholics, to always pray for Priests. Without our Priests there would be no Sacraments, there would be no Eucharist! Recently, we had a wonderful priest from our diocese, Fr. Kieran, give a presentation on the Mass and on the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Fr. stated this, A priest is the head of the community he serves; he is the presence of Christ in the community. When we honor him, we honor Christ. So, Father Bruno we honor you and your prayerful dedication to the Priesthood. This community thanks you for your 25 years of service to the Catholic Church and in particular the three years of service given to this community of St. Paul. We thank God for your dedication to this extraordinary vocation to which He called you; and thank you for graciously accepting, and living your life in this extraordinary way. 6 6 Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time June 12, 2016 Community / Calendar VOCATION WEEKEND, Little Portion Hermitage WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER The Brothers and Sisters of Charity will host a VOCATION WEEKEND June 24-26, 2016 for those interested in life at the monastery as a celibate brother or sister, or a single who remains open to marriage. We will begin Friday June 24th at 5:15 PM with silent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for a half hour, and a light supper, both with the community. Our founder, John Michael Talbot, will then give a presentation. The weekend will end Sunday with noon Mass and lunch. You are most welcome to come and become better acquainted with us through common and personal prayer times, hearing talks, sharing meals, touring the monastery, celebrating Mass, and recreating with us. The weekend is free, so you would only have to pay for your transportation to and from the monastery. For true discernment, we recommend planning to stay for an extended week or two immediately following the vocation weekend! (This will also save you money in traveling expenses if you plan to return!) 10 St. Paul s Vacation Bible School June 27 July 1 Top 10 things to know: 10. Totally Catholic VBS Cave Quest is an awesome experience. Non-Catholic friends and neighbors are welcome, too. 9. Cost: Only $25 per child, no more than $100 per family (contact Lin or Ralph if this is a problem) 8. Teen and adult volunteers are needed as crew directors, decorators, station leaders and more. It s easy and fun to volunteer. 7. The fun starts at 9:00, and at 12:00 it s already time to head home. 6. Every day includes powerful songs, challenging bible stories, beautiful crafts, fascinating science activities, inspiring saints, videos starring great kids, delicious snacks, entertaining skits and more. 5. Caves are cool and so is Jesus. Explore both with us. 4. It s for kids, K 6 th grade. Register by June 20th. Space is limited. Registration forms are available in the office or after Masses. 3.
