9 Joys and Concerns If you have a joy or concern that you would like to share discretely, you may fill out one of the brightly colored Joys/Concerns cards in the pews and they will be collected after the Children s sermon. Your prayer will be read during prayer time and published in the bulletin the following week. Also please indicate on the back of the card if you would also like the prayers shared with the prayer chain.

12 Prayer Chain of Prayer Warriors Did you know you don t have to wait until Sunday, to get the word out for people to pray? We have an prayer chain of prayer warriors standing by for prayers of intercession and praise. To request a prayer or to be recruited into the chain, contact the office or Pastor Kelly.

18 First Annual Cemetery Walk First Annual Cemetery Walk at Union Church Sat., Oct. 7. Tour times of 12:00 noon, 2pm and 4pm. This event is by ticket only. Presented by Oakley-Union church and support by the Green County Historical Society. Colorful actors will depict in story, glimpses in the lives of Spring Grove residents that made an impact on the community before they passed. Each person has a unique story and the vignettes are designed to tell a little of their life and to deliver a bit of history on the local
19 First Annual Cemetery Walk characters. There will be a picnic style meal, held in the fellowship hall of the church. Plenty of event parking is also available. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your show time. Small groups will be lead to the Cemetery by a tour guide. At the Cemetery, your tour guide will lead you through the route to each of the eight vignettes which include: history of the family, hand written obituaries, events that happened in Spring Grove and the surrounding area from and other interesting items.
20 First Annual Cemetery Walk Tickets are $10 for the event & meal and can be purchased at the Sugar River Bank locations in Brodhead ( st Center Ave., Brodhead 53520), Juda (W2903 Main St., Juda 53550) and Monroe (250 N. 18 th Ave., Monroe 53566). You may send a self addressed stamped envelope to any of the banks to get tickets, however you must include the walk times with your 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd choice. If there is any large group that would like a tour please get your tickets early so that you can all be in the same time frame. This event will be held rain or shine.
21 Audrey Wyss turned 90 Audrey Wyss turned 90 on June 21 st. There will be a Birthday Party for her at the Juda Community Center on Sun., Oct. 8 th from 1-4pm.
22 Zion Church Celebrating 150 Years Sun., October 22 nd Guest Speaker District Superintendent, Scott Carlson speaking on God s Vision of Growing Looking for pictures of events in any of the Juda churches; baptism, confirmation, marriage, etc. Give them to Hazel or Peggy or post on the parking lot entrance bulletin board. Think of a memory for the open mike. Potluck follows service. Ham and scalloped potatoes provided.
23 As Part of Zion s 150 th Homecoming Celebration On Oct. 22 nd former members and friends of Zion are being contacted, asking them to send a short greeting and/or memory of their time here. If you know of someone who would like to participate please give Hazel Matzke their name and address.
24 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Men s Resource Center of Green County It will be on Tues., Oct. 10 at the Monroe United Methodist Church, 2227 Fourth St., Monroe. Serving from 4:00-7:00 pm with Homemade Italian spaghetti sauce donated by Vince s Restaurant & Pizzeria. Menu: Spaghetti with choice of either meat or meatless sauce, Gluten free spaghetti also available. Bread Sticks, tossed salad, beverage and desert.
25 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Men s Resource Center of Green County Free Will Offering. All proceeds benefit the Men s Resource center of Green County. The Men s Resource Center of Green County is a community run shelter and resource center governed by a 9 person Board of Directors. We operate on a 100% volunteer basis and have NO paid staff which means all money goes to direct services to help single men experiencing homelessness. Our shelter is open to single men who reside in Green County, WI. The Men s Resource Center is not a government run program. We are a community supported 501(c)3 public charity.
