2 FROM OUR PASTOR: FATHER MARK KELLEHER There is a change coming. We all hate change until we get used to it, and then we wonder what the big deal was! The change that s coming has to do with our Breaking Bread Hymnals and the Missals that contain the Sunday readings which are available at the entrances to the church. As we do every year, on the First Sunday of Advent (November 27, 2016) we will have new Breaking Bread Hymnals. However this year they will include the Sunday readings. We no longer will need the Missals at the entrances to the church. By combining these two books into one the parish will save close to $1000 per year. The second part of the change is that the hymnals will no longer be stored in the book racks in the pews. The hymnals will be stored on rolling library carts. The carts will be at the entrances to the church and you will take a hymnal as you enter the church. Thanksgiving Mass Schedule. Our Thanksgiving Mass will be on the eve of Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 23 rd at 7:00 p.m. There will be no daily Mass on Thursday, November 24 th. Holy Family s Giving Tree Holy Family's Annual Giving Tree will begin on Saturday Nov 19th. Our giving tree provides our parish children with a Christmas dinner and presents to open Christmas morning when otherwise their tree may be empty due to unforeseen family situations. Tags for each family will be available before and after each mass during the weekends of November 19th and 26th. All gifts should be returned unwrapped to the hall by December 4th. Last year was an immense success thanks to our caring parishioners who ensured each child and family had a wonderful Christmas! If you would like to volunteer for tag days, sorting, or distribution day we would love to have you. Please contact Tammy Ketterer at Thank you for your continued generosity during the season of giving may god richly bless you! Snow Removal Help Needed The gentleman who did our Snowplowing for the parking lot at HFC passed away. We are now looking for a replacement. If anyone in our parish is interested, or if you know of anyone who would be interested in doing this job, please contact Judy Stives at our Church Office. She will be taking bids Holy Family Page 2
