2 FROM THE PASTOR S DESK The Little Mermaid at CTTCS Time to Start Planning Summerfest is 74 days away. More than 50 Christ the Teacher Catholic School students are going to make a splash in the school s production of The Little Mermaid. Come join the fun under the sea and catch a performance. Shows are Thursday (5/3) & Friday (5/4) at 7:00 PM and Saturday (5/5) at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased by calling the school ( ) or are available at the door. SummerFest Volunteer signups start May 19/20, after all Masses. Check your calendars to see when you can help us. We need hundreds of volunteers. There are plenty of jobs to choose from and we need all the help we can get: Please signup. A special THANK YOU to all of our Catechists, Assistants, volunteers and families who volunteered their time and talent to make this year sooo successful! It was a great year with amazing memories! We look forward to seeing you over the summer! RE Class Registrations for Fall will be available ONLINE starting this weekend! Register before June 30 and receive a $25 per family Discount! We will be SHIPWRECKED this year at Vacation Bible School June 18-22, 2018! Registration has opened!! Check out our website at religioused.php for Volunteer and Participant registration! Sacramental Prep 1 st Eucharist Prep: May 5 and May 6 th 1 st Eucharist Days: Please arrive by 11:30am to prepare for Mass. May 6 th : 1pm May Procession to crown Mary in front of the RE Center. All are welcome to attend. Wear your 1 st Eucharist attire to be a part of the procession! High School/Confirmation 2018 Our next session is May 20th. Adult Formation information on Page 4 YOUTH MINISTRY VBS Setup: We are starting to Design an Build! Meet us on Mondays (not Memorial Day though) from 6-8pm in the RE Center. Wear old clothing in case it gets messy and it will! Open to all grades 7 th and up!! Prepare to work!! Lots to do! Summerfest Bootcamp is coming! July 9-11 th : 8:45-8pm M/T; 8:45-2pm Wed. We put the S in Service at Holy Family! Come join us as we setup the Summerfest, paint, clean, and organize various jobs on and off the Parish Campus! Open to all Jr/Sr. high school students. Leaders needed as well! College students, teachers, parents we can use your help! All signups are online leaders, too. Cost: $50 per camper, VBS Volunteers! Calling all VBS Volunteers! If you haven t done so already, please signup on our VBS volunteer Our next required Training Meeting is Tuesday, May 1 st from 6-7:30 in the RE Center. We are still looking for: Game and Craft Station Leaders. Game and Craft Station Leaders. Looking for something fun and crazy to do this summer? VBS is the place for you! We are looking for fun-loving, enthusiastic, individuals who love children and enjoy chaotic organization (lol) This person will lead our children for a week of fun and learning in their area. 4 Parish News and Happenings SILENT PRAYER: Our parish has a group of people who will earnestly pray for any needs you have. This is done anonymously via a telephone prayer chain. If you have a special need for which you are in need of prayer call: , or before 7:30 p.m. and we will pray for you. Mark your calendars! Sozo Choir is back! Friday, May 4 th at 7 pm, we are co-hosting with Cornerstone United Methodist Church (directions in the Gathering Space) where the Choir will be performing. If you didn t have the chance to hear this wonderful group sing and witness two years ago, you now have an opportunity to experience their energy and love for Christ. A signup sheet will be available in the Gathering Space for more details contact our office. In the meantime, please visit the Sozo website to see and hear of sample of the beautiful experience coming our way! We are not just a certain race or heritage. WE ARE Catholic Christian gentlemen who support the Church, family life and the community around us.
