Please note these changes on your calendar. Christmas Eve Masses 4:00 pm 6:00 pm 8:00 pm Christmas Day Masses: 9:00 am 11:00 am No confessions will be heard on December 24th or December 31st, 2016 Holiday Office Hours Holy Family Parish Offices will be closed From noon on Dec. 22nd and opening on Dec. 28th. in observance of Christmas. 3 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND YOUTH MINISTRY Mare Draper, DRE or by phone: RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Last week was the last week of RE for the year! It was also a special week of community, prayer, and celebration in our classrooms! The RE Offices will be closing from Thursday, December 15 until January 3, 2017! YOUTH MINISTRY *High School Sunday Nite Lites: Our next gathering will be held tonight, December 18th from 7-9pm, for our Christmas Party. Come dressed in your holiday themed clothing and spirit for a night filled with good friends, laughter, games, and FOOD! Please bring a snack to share! Let us know you are coming for a headcount at Confirmation 2017 Confirmation Information Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 8 th in the Parish Hall from 1:15-3pm. If you are a highs school student and feel that you are ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2017, this meeting is for you! Requirements for eligibility are: you are currently in a religious education program or Catholic School, have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, attend and practice your faith regularly, and have a desire to complete the final Sacrament of Initiation Confirmation. This program is not limited to or considered a graduation from your faith formation it is just the beginning! Our hope and expectation is that you are ready to participate fully in the program by engaging in all of the program requirements. It is designed to investigate, serve, and develop a deeper relationship with Christ. Some may not be ready for this and that is OK! Come to our information meeting and see if this year is your year to start your Confirmation journey. HIGHSCHOOL, SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP: Please see website for details and additional information! If anyone has trouble locating a family member buried at our diocesan cemeteries, search the App Store for Wilmington Catholic Cemeteries A free App will be available for downloading that will enable the user to search our burial data base and find G.P.S. navigation to a particular location. In addition, family members have the option of placing on line memories of their deceased loved ones. This service is provided free of charge. When visiting the cemetery be sure that you are aware of your surroundings. Always hide any valuables out of sight and be sure to lock your car and take your keys. Come remember loved ones who have died from alcohol and drug addiction. The normal work schedule of 3 days of 6 hour shifts that varies Monday, Tuesday 4p.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-2p.m. or Wednesday, Thursday 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 6 a.m.-noon. Flexibility is critical. Ability to provide evening, weekend and holiday coverage. Skills that are preferred - social service experience, flexibility with overnight availability, able to cook and have experience with mental health, substance abuse and re-entry. Responsibilities include; oversight of shelter residents, maintenance of building security, meal preparation, kitchen oversight, assurance of building cleanliness and handling shelter telephone calls. High School Diploma or equivalent. One year experience, including shelter/homeless experience or its equivalent is preferred.
