Soup and Speaker March 26 and April 2 nd at 6:00 p.m. (Sign-ups in the Gathering Space.) 3 Year-old Preschool Openings - Christ the Teacher Our Preschool 3 year-old program has availability for in the afternoon class (11:55-2:55 p.m.) which meets on Tuesday and Thursdays. All of the proceeds supported the Delaware Down Syndrome Association! All together we sold 300 pairs of socks! GIFT: Our final meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8pm in the Parish Hall. Final Service Presentations will be held with a finale group activity! Looking forward to seeing everyone who participated this year. It is our hope and expectation that all families enrolled will attend as Fall info will be discussed! SACRAMENTAL PREP Confirmation 2017 Our next session will be held on Sunday, April 9th immediately following the 12 Noon Mass. All will meet in the Parish Hall until 3pm. This is for Candidates only. Please remember your sponsor information and outstanding paperwork. Please make sure you complete Module 5 and 6 by the time you attend the Session! First Eucharist 2017 First Eucharist Practice will be held on Wednesday, April 26th from 6-7:30pm in the Church for children and parents. YOUTH MINISTRY *TWEENs! Our next gathering will be Thursday, April 6th d from 6 until 7:30pm for students in 5/6 th grade. Friends are welcome!! FISH FRYS! Help is needed to serve the parish at the annual Fish Frys. Easter Mission Work: Open to all 7-9th graders: Delaware Prevention Coalition Mission Impossible! Tuesday, April 18 through April 20th, 8:45am until 12 noon on Thursday. ADULT FORMATION Tour of the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, DC: Rescheduled for April 5, Please resubmit your reservation to Rita at rgarland@holyfamilynewark.org to ensure your spot! Cost: Approximately $50 per person (unless you previously paid us) to cover costs of transportation, snacks, and dinner in the Tidewater Grill in Harve de Grace. 4 Parish News and Happenings PRAYERS FOR THE SICK: Socks for Soldiers WE ARE NOT COLLECTING SOCKS, RATHER, WE ARE ASKING FOR DONATIONS! You do not need be a 4 th Degree to donate. This project is open to all. Would you help support this Cardinal Gibbons Assembly project with a donation of $3.00? We, the Patriotic 4 th Degree, are requesting the cost of a pair of socks. We cannot accept socks because they must meet GAO standards. 6 Parish News and Diocesan News PARISH MALVERN MENS RETREAT WEEKEND IS April 28, 29 & 30, Sometimes the frantic pace of life can leave us with little time to deal with growing our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Finding the time and place can be an obstacle. A weekend retreat can be the time and the Malvern Retreat House the place.
