Baptismal Program for Parents: Generally bi-monthly on the 3rd Monday of the month, at 7:00 PM. To register call Matrimony: Consult parish priest or deacon at least one year in advance and before any plans or decisions are made. Reconciliation: Saturday 3:30 PM or by appointment. You made 2016 a great year for us! Here s to 2017 and all the wonderful surprises it has in store for all of us. May the new year bring happiness, joy, and peace! This week is the last week of RE for the year! Classes will resume January 9 and 10, 2017! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! The RE Offices will be closing from Thursday, December 15 until January 3, 2017! YOUTH MINISTRY *TWEENs! And High School Sunday Nite Lites: Gatherings will resume in January! Until then, enjoy your much needed time off, get some sleep and don t forget to be the face of Christ for others! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Confirmation 2017 A letter was sent to your home inviting you to join us this year for the preparation of Confirmation. If you did not receive a letter and you feel you are eligible, please contact our office or us as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting! The Confirmation Information Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 8 th in the Parish Hall from 1:15-3pm. If you are a highs school student and feel that you are ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2017, this meeting is for you! Requirements for eligibility are: you are currently in a religious education program or Catholic School, have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, attend and practice your faith regularly, and have a desire to complete the final Sacrament of Initiation Confirmation. This program is not limited to or considered a graduation from your faith formation it is just the beginning! Our hope and expectation is that you are ready to participate fully in the program by engaging in all of the program requirements. It is designed to investigate, serve, and develop a deeper relationship with Christ. Some may not be ready for this and that is OK! Come to our information meeting and see if this year is your year to start your Confirmation journey. HIGHSCHOOL, SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP: Please see website for details and additional information! Check out our website for the latest and greatest service opportunities. If you are in 9th grade, you are welcome to start your Confirmation Service Hours requirements. Come remember loved ones who have died from alcohol and drug addiction. St. Mary s EEP still enrolling in our 2 & 3 year old program for the current school year, SHELTER STAFF JOB OPENING Diocese of Wilmington/Catholic Charities seeks Parttime Shelter Staff (up to 19 hours a week) at Casa San Francisco, an emergency shelter for adults, food cooperative and emergency food pantry, located in Milton, Delaware. The normal work schedule of 3 days of 6 hour shifts that varies Monday, Tuesday 4p.m.-10 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-2p.m. or Wednesday, Thursday 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 6 a.m.-noon. Flexibility is critical. Ability to provide evening, weekend and holiday coverage. Skills that are preferred - social service experience, flexibility with overnight availability, able to cook and have experience with mental health, substance abuse and re-entry. Responsibilities include; oversight of shelter residents, maintenance of building security, meal preparation, kitchen oversight, assurance of building cleanliness and handling shelter telephone calls. High School Diploma or equivalent. One year experience, including shelter/homeless experience or its equivalent is preferred. Communication skills, ability to problem solve, handle emergencies, and ability to supervise and interact well with a diverse client population. EOE.
