Seating is limited so register today at or Confirmation /postcard will be sent week of April Annual Catholic Appeal Parish Bulletin Announcements April 15 & 16 Easter Sunday 2017 Annual Catholic Appeal Their Eyes Were Opened and They Recognized Him In the Resurrection of Jesus we find hope in the prospect of everlasting life in heaven. But to obtain eternal life, we must accept the Lord s invitation to follow Him by imitating His love and compassion for others. During the weekend of April 29 & 30, our parish will participate in the 2017 Annual Catholic Appeal a campaign conducted each year throughout the Diocese of Wilmington. Funds generated through the Appeal help provide critical financial support to nearly forty pastoral, charitable and educational programs and ministries. As Christian stewards we are called to a lifelong conversion to the ways of Jesus. Each of us is asked to examine the blessings we have received from God and to discern how best to use them for others. We do this cheerfully and sacrificially and with faith in God s love for us, knowing that He will provide for our earthly wants. They found the stone rolled away from the entrance to the tomb, so they went in; but they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. They stood there puzzled about this, when suddenly two men in bright shining clothes stood by them. Full of fear, the women bowed down to the ground, as the men said to them, Why are you looking among the dead for one who is alive? He is not here; he has been raised. 6 Parish News and Diocesan News Springtime in Paris concert to benefit Catholic Charities The enchanting music of Wilson Somers Springtime in Paris will fill the air on April 30 th! The concert will support the community outreach of Catholic Charities! Emmy Award winning jazz composer and pianist Wilson Somers with his jazz trio and guests, including soloist Annie Fitch, will lead us on a magical tour of Springtime In Paris at 7:30 pm on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at The Tatnall School s Laird Performing Arts Center. The concert is presented by Mass for the Homeless, Inc. as part of its Music with a Mission series. For tickets visit Springtime_In_Paris. All seats are $20. Happy Easter! We are reminded and reassured of the truth that Jesus revealed to us a truth that provides us with hope. As you spend this day celebrating His return remember to do so with joy in your heart. The glory of His resurrection is that it is for all to share. As Christ tells us, Do not be afraid, so this week be filled with the courage and hope that his resurrection provides and be not afraid to joyfully declare that Christ has risen indeed.
